Rest of the Greyville card ( inc. the Durban July ) -
1.25 - NEPTUNE'S RAIN and ROCKING RUSSIAN at 6's and 16's respectively.
2.10 - VARIMAX - Looks big for me at 16's with Strydom booked.
3.20 - TILBURY FORT and MASTER SABINA - Going with these 2 in the " big one " both at EW prices. Big field and a tight track does make the draw very important and pretty much guaranteed to be a very rough race. No obvious pace setter is a surprise in a 19 runner field and this complicates matters further, but both picks are pretty useful sorts and given luck in running, can get involved at 33's and 50's respectively.
4.15 - ANGEL'S POWER - Did like HORSE GUARDS, but not for me at 5/2. AP, is again ridden by Pierre Strydom and for me, should not be 7's.
4.55 - CRYMEARIVER and RYKER - Pair of lightly raced and useful looking sorts at 16's and 25's respectively. Cannot rule out UNDER THE STARS either at 100's as this is more his sort of level.
5.35 - FROSTY FRIDAY - Fair Recent form and not sure he should be 33's.
6.15 - MARRIOT - Gets in as 2nd reserve and has the recent form to be a threat at 14's.
6.55 - UNION JACK and IRISH PRIDE - UJ is on 3rd run back and tends to take a few runs to get going, so should be cherry ripe at 7's. IP won well last time and the 12's looks more of a reflection of the break that he is coming back from
