11.10 Greyville - Had a quick glance here and simply did not get the prices on the following 3 -

MASTER ARCHER ( Not in the best form recently, but best efforts have ben this trip and young jockey does well for this trainer. EW Shout at 28's )
BIZJET ( Bit more like it last time and Colin Scott is always a danger at this track, especially when putting Muzi Yeni up )
SON OF SILVER ( Lightly raced sort and the booking of Pierre Strydom does catch the eye. Should have pace to aim at and hopefully will be finishing well at 20's )

1.50 Beverley - DREAM OF DREAMER - Nicely bred, but green as grass on debut. Trainer does well with juveniles and possible improver at 20's.

2.35 Sandown - SECRET BRIEF - Godolphin 2nd string, but capable of fair form and goes on the ground. Mostly a price thing admittedly, but for me, the 16's is too big.

2.50 Haydock - DURETTO - Fair effort when 5th of 17 to Green Light ( re - opposes today ) at Epsom; may still have improvement in him.

4.45 Beverley - OLYMPIC DUEL - Handicap debutante, who is very interesting on 2 of 3 maiden efforts.

5.55 Bellewstown - GRAND PARTNER - 3rd run back off an absence and is lurking on a dangerous mark.

5.45Nottingham - SUBLIMATION and TAFAHOM - Keen to oppose the odds on and Sublimation looks the logical alternative. Tafahom is more speculative at 16's and hopeful on the stamina front.

London Protocol at 12.00 in the 13:25 at Sandown
Bridal March at 3.00 in the 13:50 at Beverley
Liquid at 3.00 in the 14:25 at Beverley
Chevallier at 17.00 in the 14:35 at Sandown

2.35 Sandown - I quite fancy MELVIN THE GRATE here at 16/1, will like the ground (now soft after a downpour) and was a fair 6th in this race last year on unsuitably fast going. Probably didn't like Epsom last time and has been eased a few pounds in the handicap. Rail draw no longer a problem as they're coming centre in the straight. Worth an ew bet.

Ran really well in 4th and looked sure to be placed but got pipped right on the line for 3rd - a non-runner had reduced the original 16-runner field to 15 too so only 3 places instead of 4 :ohwell

Durban July day over in South Africa and whilst its not as important as the Melbourne Cup is to Australian's, it is cerainly their most prestegious race. Live on ATTHERACES, so happy having a bet on the following -

BLACK ARTHUR
( 2nd run off a break and won the Summer Cup under this jockey and has won at the track. Bit to find at the weights, but plenty of appeal at 25's )
MASTER SABINA ( Dougie Whyte aboard and whilst an SA native, made his mark over in Hong Kong where he won 13 titles. Tough to fault the horse so far and won nicely on local debut, which was an excellent tune up )
DYNAMIC ( Good recent form and prep race was solid enough. 18 year old Lyle Hewitson aboard, holds a chance at the weights, baggged the plum draw and solid EW credentials at 33's )

3.35 Turffontein - JULIE DOOLITTLE and LONDON - JD has gone right off the boil recently, but Randall Simons back aboard and happy taking the chance at 50's. London is more realistic on form, but does have a tough draw to overcome. Good young jockey on board and was expecting around 7's, so a must bet at the early 10's.

A small bet to win and place on WESTERN HYMN in the 3.45 @ 18 & 6.4

4.15 Greyville - ARABIAN NATIONAL - Coverage continues on ATTHERACES,so going to keep betting. AN has an excellent course record, but is back off a break. Leading chance at 7's, if fit and firing.

Also going with the last at Turffontein -

4.05 - Combination FC/TC with these -

BOARDING CALL
LOVE CONQUERS ALL
MAIN SUNDAY

4.55 Greyville -

SHIZAM ( Back off a short break, but is a speedy sort with plenty of scope. Has come over from the Cape area and hopeful it will be a winning raid. Drawn to attack and looks fairly priced at 5's )
CHAP TRAP ( Last 3 all decent and Khumalo keeps the ride. EW potential at 25's )
PEGGY'S DREAM ( Has improved with each run, but faces a lot better today. Should out - run her price of 66's )

5.35 Greyville - 3 EW shots and the combination FC with these -

LAZER STAR ( Top class filly, but not sure if she will get the mile. Too much quality to ignore at 20's )
BIRCHETTE ( Stable 2nd string, but possible she will make the running at 50's )
EVENTUAL ANGEL ( 2nd run back, useful at her level, but plenty to do today. EW shout with the blinkers tried )

6.15 Greyville - CAPTAIN CHAOS - Well backed on Polytrack debut and won accordingly. Marginally tougher draw today, but still fair prospects at 9's.

Final race of a mammoth 12 race card at Greyville and again going with " roughies " -

BEAT THE RETREAT ( Lightly raced and already a 2 time winner. Hopeful he will stay and Most realistic pick at 25's )
DIAMOND KING ( Needed it last time and hance on best form, much of which has been here.. Shade big at 40's )
MUMSY'S JET ( Better on the Poly, but odd decent turf effort and in form jockey up. EW squeak at 66's )
