10.45 Turffontein - SALMON RUN - Moderate form after showing good signs on debut, though no luck with the draw on any of 4 starts. Could have been better berthed today, but not too penal and of interest at 50's now back at 6f. ROCK CAFE is an interesting looking newcomer and don't mind risking a bit on this one at 66's.

11.20 Turffontein - CALL TO BATTLE - 2nd run back. Good signs with the blinkers fitted, drops in trip, could show more and was short ( FAV twice ) for 3 of 4 starts to date.

11.55 Turffontein - ATOMIC BELLE - Blew it at the start last time, has a say if reproducing best form and does look big at 20's.

4.15 Lingfield - APPY DAYS - Looks an ordinary maiden and this one brings decent NH form to the flat.

4.25 Wetherby - ESKENDASH - Trio of 2nd's for this one and does deserve a change of luck. May prove vulnerable on 4th start, but gets weight form most rivals.

4.30 Fairyhouse - CLASSIC THEATRE - Promising debut and nicely enough bred to make an impact in this better company. EW shout at 12's.

6.45 Newcastle - MAJOR MUSCARI - In fair from and hoping the change of headgear can squeeze that little bit more out of him.

3.25 Fairyhouse - DJANGO DU PECOS and LOOK CLOSER - Big field maiden hurdle and going with these 2 at 66's and 80's respectively.

Started badly with SALMON RUN, finishing 4th at 50's. ESKANDESH then managed his fourth 2nd place from 4 starts. CLASSIC THEATRE was another 4th at 12's and then MAJOR MUSCARI, did not get a run when he needed it and finished 5th. All others pretty poor to be fair.

Top pick with CURZON LINE there Punt. Just watched the race and thought the jockey contolled the pace well. Not sure he could have done more and always gutting to get done on the line, especially at such a price.
