Horse Racing Bets Sunday 28th May

12.15 Turffontein - SESS - Nicely bred and looked good on debut when 2nd. Stable in form and should be thereabouts at 9/2. ALSSAKHRA should not be far away either and has been backed into 7's from 12's.

12.50 Turffontein - THE FALLS ROAD - Promising debut and then quite short for 2 subsequent starts. Minor issue last time ( nasal discharge ) explained away a poor run and has been rested since. Fitness needs to be taken on trust, but represents an in - form stable and will be surprised if the early 40's holds.

1.25 Turffontein - RONNIE ROCKET and ROQUEBRUNE - Better than the finishing position suggested last time for RR and is 4 from 9 over the minimum trip. Solid EW chance at 25's. Roquebrune is back off a short break and has gone off a single figure price on all 9 career starts. That run might be broken today as is currently 12's and plenty of appeal at said price.

2.05 Turffontein - STORM WARNING - Takes a welcome drop in trip and gets a handy pull from the 2 horse. Huge chance on best form and therefore the early 16's looks big to me.

3.10 Turffontein - A GREATER POWER - Gelded since last run and whilst has a bit to find at the weights, certainly cannot rule out at 40's.

2.35 Turffontein - Combination FC / TC with these -

TRELLIS ( Comfortable win in latest start, gets the 3lb claim and can follow up )
SUN SENTINEL ( Below best latest, but remains lightly raced and big chance on previous form )
TEENAGE DREAM ( Has shown useful ability and she wasn't disgraced in stronger company in her first experience going round a turn. Shade big at 12's for me and EW chance on that )

3.45 Turffontein - 3 Total " roughies " to complete the card -

HENRY HIGGINS at 50's
BIZJET at 40's
MAJESTIC BAY at 66's

4.25 Chantilly - SING SOMETHING - Much improved last time and remains lightly raced. EW shout at 12's.

4.30 Curragh - MANDATARIO - Steps back up to a more suitable trip and a possible dark horse at 14's.

5.25 Kelso - THE LAST LETTY - Failed to complete in 4 points and really should be 100's based on that. Has now joined the shrewd yard of John Quinn however and is noticeably shorter at 20's.

5.30 Curragh - SEVENLEFT - Encouraging return at Naas last weekend and should get enough pace to aim at. One to consider from a yard in form at 14's.
