Yet another " outsiders " day for me. Surprised by the prices for a couple of them and just hoping the bookies have got it wrong -
12:00 Kelso - SECRET ACT - Possibly gonna be better for the experience and when sent over further, but the ground will make it a test and a decent debut would not surprise at 40's.
12:40 Punchestown - MALL DINI - Won his Bumper on heavy and initial hurdle effort was very promising. Beaten a mile in both starts since that, though never put in the race last time. The booking of Davy Russell, suggested better was expected today, so shocked to see the 50's on offer.
3:15 Kelso - CLENAGH CASTLE - Only hinted at promise in Bumper / maidens / novice events and h'cap debut not much better. That run was back off a fair break though and 3m3f was always gonna be a tough ask. Cheekpieces added and dropped back to 2m7f, so would expect a bit more today. Too early to write off after just 5 starts and could easily go well at 16's.
3:25 Punchestown - WINSOR VIXEN - Nicely bred debutante and the stable does well in this sphere and can get one ready. Useful 5lb claimer booked and would expect a fair run, getting weight off most of the principles.
