11.10 Vaal - PIPPI SHORTSOCK - Drop in trip looks to suit and has placed this c & d. Plenty of pace in the race, so should have something to aim at. Bit big for me, at a drifting 10's.

11.40 Vaal - Going with 3 outsiders in this 3yo Fillies Maiden -

MIRAFLORES ( Odd fair effort and best run did come this track. Back to 6f and IMO the best of the rags at 33's )
GOLDEN BABE ( Does at least possess speed, so could not rule out at 100's )
CATHEDRE ( Looked to have a future after 4 starts, but gone off the boil last two. Certainly bred to be decent, so just cannot ignore at 66's )

12.10 Vaal - MATILDA'S DAUGHTER - Bit quiet lately, but this is 3rd run back off a break, so should be at peak fitness. Fair record this track, is down to a mark of 59, so enough going for her at 9's.

12.50 Vaal - GENTLEMAN ONLY and GLADIATORE - GO did not get the run of the race last time, but was solid prior to that and has a form chance at 6's. Gladiatore's comeback run was a fair effort and is potentially very nicely handicapped. Good EW shout at 12's.

1.25 Vaal - SCOTLAND and CHAMPIONS CUP - Scotland has been ultra consistent latley and should prove dangerous from a top draw. CC, is more speculative, but last two read OK ( from bad draws ) and has bagged stall 2 today.

2.40 Vaal - INTANDOKAZI - Penultimate effort poor, but that was from a bad draw and was his only recent blemish. Generally pretty solid though and remains on a fair mark. Should be staying on at the end at 10's.

1.05 Southwell - CRAKEHALL LAD - C & D win came off a much higher mark, but been in decline since. Not much better since switching stables and definitely " last chance saloon " for this one.

2.10 Southwell - MYSTERIOUS LOOK - Ed McMahon's last runner, so plenty of incentive for this one. Fair form chance as well and looks about right at 8's.

2.35 Warwick - CATCHING ON - Decent stayer on his day and thrown in on best form. Not enough lately to get excited about, but happy risking an EW at 20's.

4.20 Warwick - TALK IS CHEAP - 3 from 3 in Irish Points, but disappointed in sole Irish Bumper. Certainly bred for the job and Alan King has a good record in this sphere
.

1.20 Gowran Park - 3 EW shots in this big field handicap hurdle -

ALL ABOUT ALFIE ( Capable sort at best and some appeal at 20's )
PIXIE LANE ( Running well enough to suggest she could be place. Does need to improve though to win )
ALAMGIYR ( EW squeak off a mark of 93 )

INTANDOKAZI a nice winner at 14's. 3 other places, including Ed McMahon's last runner who finished 3rd. Was a long time fan of the yard, so sorry to see him quit. Definitely not the highest profile of yards, but 2010 showed what they were capable of, registering 27 winners and £360,000 in prize-money. Was always comfortable backing his 2yo debutantes and managed some decent priced winners.
