12.05 Vaal - LAZARUS TREE - Apologies for putting this one up late as the early price of 16's is a distant memory. Opened 9's on course and backed into 5's. Is a debutante from a fledgling yard and is nicely bred. Top jockey aboard and interesting to see how he goes. Note book horse for next time if nothing else, as must have been showing something at home.

LT was prominent all the way and 200 yards out did look the winner. Got a bit unbalanced late on and the jock looked a bit awkward, so may have lost his irons. Bred to do better over a bit further, so thinking an immediate step up in trip will suit

12.40 Vaal - Going with 3 here -

ON THE DOUBLE ( Nicely bred newcomer, with a good jockey booked at 25's )
COSMIC MIST ( Has had breathing issues, so 3 fair runs in the circumstances. Risky, but could go well at 25's )
JUNTA ( Half the field are at 50's or more and for me, this is the most likely " rag " at 100's )

1.15 Vaal - GOOD EMPEROR - Odd decent performance here, gives him a fair chance at 40's.

1.50 Vaal - PETITE AIME - Slow start to her career was followed by a couple of pretty decent efforts. Bit of a step backwards last time, but willing to give her another chance at 8's.

3.00 Vaal - AQUABUOY - Needed the outing last time and weighted to go very close, has wins at 20's, 40's and a place at 66's to his name, so not worried that he is 40's today.
