2.50 Lingfield
BALLISTA - 4/1 (5.2 betfair)
This horse looks to hold big claims in this and is a strong back-to-lay bet. He's a front-runner who nearly always trades shorter in-running (he's traded shorter than BFSP in-running on all of his last 20 runs at this distance) and is perfectly drawn in stall 1 today with just 6 rivals. He's without a win in over 2 years but has ran some good races in defeat and now finds himself on a mark of 88 (down from 111 at his peak).
He ran well at Wolves last time when 6th beaten just 2 lengths following a 286-day break and he will strip fitter for that.
Favourite Seychelloise is another front-runner but is drawn in 6 and there's plenty of early pace on her inside to think she will struggle to get the lead.
Stable jockey Richard Kingscote has been on board for 6 of his 8 wins (has only ridden him once in his last 8 starts) takes the ride and interestingly this is his only ride of the meeting before shooting off to ride another of Dascombe's in the 5.10 at Chelmsford.
Will back him pre-off then lay in-running hopefully locking in a profit whatever the outcome.
