Just starting off over in South AFrica, with 3 at big prices -

11:10 Turffontein - EW Bets and Combination FC with these -

RETRO CHIC ( Long standing maiden, but has a squeak at best and fair effort last time. SMall chance at 66's )
SWEET SINGER ( 6 fair efforts, before a break and would have needed last time out. Good jockey booked and that alone makes the early 80's surprising )
FLYING SILVER ( One of 2 newcomers for this owner / trainer combination and can't see much between the pair on breeding or jockey bookings. Nicely berthed in 3 and hopefully will open shorter than the early 16's )

Having another go over in South Africa, then found a couple of races of interest back home -

12:55 Turffontein - One at a price along with a couple of shorties -

LITTLE VOICE ( Poor couple of runs to date, but was never put in the race on debut and then had a four month break prior to fading on 2nd start. Drawn worst of all both times as well and has at least fared better on that score today. Impossible to fully know what I am backing, but bred well enough to justify a small EW at the early 100's )
PERFECT DREAM ( Fair debut, much improved 2nd time and Strydom up today )
QARMAN ( Hails from the in-form yard and bred to make an impact on debut )

2:40 Southwell - CROCKETT and KELLY'S FINEST - Crockett's Bumper form is actually pretty fair, but yet to really register anything on the flat. Does have the ability though and chance if taking to the surface. KF also has to prove herself on Fibresand, but is on a fair looking mark and makes her stable debut today.

3:30 Lingfield - ROYAL PLAZA and MAID OF MILAN - RP is nicely bred, but made an inauspicious debut over in Ireland. Presumably capable of better and has since joined the Alan King yard. Certainly more questions than answers, but still some EW appeal at 12's. MOM was 2nd in her sole Irish Point and is bred to make an impact in this sphere.

1:35 Turffontein - AYRTON and PACHUCO - Ayrton has been poor recently, but 2 of his best efforts have been here. Noticeably short last time and was up there a long way. Very interesting at 80's now dropped back in trip. Pachuco is nicely bred and ran well on debut. Should be more to come and S'Manga Khumalo keeps the ride. Small drift to 9's certainly makes him backable.
