Usual mix of venue's for me and just could not resist the first bet at the price -

11.10 Vaal - WARNEY - Workriders day over in South Africa, so with such inexperience on show certainly hoping for a couple of upsets. This one has shown marginal improvement, but would need to find more. Drop in trip might aid that and has also bagged a good draw. Certainly bred to be better and am expecting him to out- run his price of 100's.

12.20 Vaal - SCOTLAND and SPRING LODGE - The latter is capable and hopefully can improve for the new trip. SL has shown a bit more lately and the formline of his last start has worked out well.

2.30 Southwell - COLOURBEARER and SPOWARTICUS - C'B has from here and whilst not at his best lately is very well handicapped. Spowarticus is in fair nick and ran well here LTO. Today's event is stronger, but cannot ignore at 12's.
 
11.45 Vaal - SCARE TACTICS - Bit of a no show recently, but looking nicely weighted and does get the trip. Was expecting 7's, so a " must bet " at the early 12's.

1.30 Vaal - RETRO CHIC - Quite a few long term maidens in this race and RC is no different. Real chance on her best form and last time was one of her better efforts. Would expect her to be staying on late at 20's

2.15 Taunton - I'LLHAVEALOOK - Only once out the frame in 14 Points, but not really found form under rules yet. Quickly gets a break from the handicapper and improvement for the new trip is more than possible. Definite EW interest at 16's.

3.45 Taunton - HEATH HUNTER - Useful on his day and gets the services of the very useful 5lb claimer David Noonan. Probably not much " wiggle room " off this mark, but better than he showed last time and has a shout in this field at 9's
 
2.40 Vaal - ELEGANT EDGE - Another 100/1 shot over in South Africa. Probably about right but bred to do better and trainer does get them at these prices
 
1st and 3rd in the 2.20, along with a couple other places. Not a dead loss, but missing said Forecast was costly.
