Horse Racing Bets Tuesday 5th January

Just had a quick look at the opener over in South Africa and gone with a real " roughie " -

11.10 Vaal - MAJESTIC LEGACY - Nicely bred newcomer who has procured a good draw in 3. Big run at 50's would not surprise.

None of the English stuff interests me, so dipping in and out of South Africa -

11.45 Vaal - TRICIA DUPONT - Hinted at promise on debut and then ran well on 2nd start off a 4 Month break. Should strip fitter today and hopefully can improve again. Good draw to work with and could make a bold bid from the front. Interesting at the early 25's.

12.55 Vaal - LONELY ARETHEBRAVE - Holding his form well and should get the pace he needs over this trip. S'Manga Khumalo keeps the ride and should get involved at 7's.

1.35 Vaal - OLIVE LEAF and FIRSTTIMESACHARM - FAV looks tough, but going with these 2 outsiders. Both have a bit to find at the weights, but OL should run his race and Firsttimesacharm can hopefully re-find the form of his first 2 runs.

2.50 Vaal - STEEWING and ANGELUS BELL - Steelwing has been very hit and miss since last win, with plenty of solid efforts and as last time the odd shocker. Sneaking down the h'cap though , well drawn and a possible front runner. EW squeak at 25's. AB has been poor last 3, but was still relatively short in the market each time. Bit different today at 50's and certainly could not rule out.

3.25 Vaal - All 3 here are EW prices and looking to procure the forecast or even miracle tricast -

EMPEROR'S LASS ( Debut winner here, but nothing in either run since. H'capper relents early and definite shout at 20's )
EYE THE COUNTESS (Moderate latest over further, could have a say with Fortune back up.
YAWAYLA ALAYLA ( 2 wins and 4 " duck eggs " from 6 starts. Obviously has the talent and just have to hope its a going day )
