12.40 Durbanville - SCARLET REBEL - No show on debut, but did improve on 2nd start. Went backwards on 3rd start, but was caught out wide and used up a lot of unnecessary energy. Too early to give up on him yet and would expect him to resume progress at 25's.

1.20 Durbanville - DOUBLEMINT - Two fair starts to date, drops in trip and has scope to improve. Was in front of the above mentioned Scarlet Rebel last time, so a win / place for that one would certainly boost confidence. Should still be thereabouts at 7's.

1.55 Durbanville - MOUNT KEITH - Continues to drop in the ratings and don't have to go too far back to find a couple of decent 2nd's. Form does show too many 2nd's for ones liking, but looks unlucky rather than ungenuine. Really should be capable of making an impact off 69.

3.40 Durbanville - CARDIFF CASTLE - Slow starts last twice have hampered, but not beaten that far either time. No issues at the start prior to these, so hopefully it can be nipped in the bud. Certainly very well handicapped and gets the trip fine, so enough going for him at 10's.

12.45 Happy Valley - DOUBLE POINT - Going to need a serious gallop this trip, but confident on that score and granted even luck can see this one going close at 10's.

3.20 Worcester - LISDONVARNA LAD - Nicely bred newcomer at 11's

3.35 Navan - CACIQUE ROMACE - Might need handicaps, but form of both starts read OK at 14's

4.30 Worcester - MY CHARITY - Needs a bit more, but bred to be OK and trip fine at 25's

5.50 Kempton - REVELEON - Nicely bred newcomer, from a top stable at 11's

Doublemint a winner at 15/2. Not a lot to say about the others

As you can see beaten a nk and ¾ Length and was slightly stopped when the eventual 2nd started his run. Did not come to a halt or anything like that, but it certainly stopped him getting into stride quicker and it certainly could have got very close up front.
