Kenilworth sharing the stage with Happy Valley on ATTHERACES. Looks like the first 4 races will be covered, before the English meetings kick in.

12.05 Kenilworth - Gone with 3 unraced sorts in this 2yo Maiden -

HEART OF LEGEND at 9's
QUAKESHAKE at 33's
SASSY LADY at 50's

1.20 Kenilworth - SPENDING SPREE - Opened short on debut, but the subsequent drift suggested that she would not be quite ready. Certainly not a bad effort in the circumstances and only weakened late on. Do expect improvement today at 7's.

1.55 Kenilworth - RISKY RAMBO - Has improved lately for the step up in trip and a repeat of either of his last 2 runs has him going close.

2.35 Kenilworth - GEOGRAPHE BAY - Lightly raced, looks to have plenty of ability and has shown some good speed. Drop back in trip looks ideal and really should be involved at 11/2.

3.10 Kenilworth - ELUSIVE SINGER - Bounced back to form with a pleasing effort last time and don't see the rop back to 6f as a major problem.

3.40 Kenilworth - TONYA and KATIE'S JAY - No obvious pace in the race, so going with this pair, who I feel can quicken up off the slow pace.

4.15 Kenilworth - Finishing up with these 3 in the closing h'cap -

BEAU ( Gelded since last run and was in good form prior to that. Blinkers left off and possible dark horse at 12's )
SILVER MASTER ( Edging back down the weights and every chance at 7's on best form )
WESTERN STORM ( Shade disappointing lately, but h'capper giving him every chance at 12's )

4.35 Southwell - CRAKEHALL LAD - Another change of headgear for this one and whilst rarely running to his level, does rate a threat at 16's.

4.55 Lingfield - TAAJUB - Nicely handicapped and much better draw than last time. 10yo, but still capable this level and 7's maybe a shade big.

5.20 Sedgefield - MULTIPEDE - Upped in trip for h'cap debut and does have plenty of scope over hurdles. Probably about right at 8's.

8.25 Kempton - MANSFIELD - Ex Godolphin havng only his 2nd start for his new stable. Plenty to prove at the moment, but too nicely bred to ignore at 40's.

12.15 Happy Valley - MR KOOL - Not the most consistent, but capable at best and is lightly raced. Draw could have been kinder, but still some interest at 25's.

Brett Prebble was very proactive on Mr Kool and decided to make an early move off an absolute snail's pace. Nobody really went with him and he was able to control things from the front. Top ride and a big priced winner means I cannot lose on the day.

12.40 Kenilworth - FRITZ NOBIS - Was not going to bother initialy, but this debutante has drifted slightly to 6's and looks backable for a top trainer / jockey combo.

English runners absolute garbage and this took some of the gloss of a fair day. Spending Spree won at 9's, Geographe Bay won at 11/2 and Silver Master was nicely backed into 5's and came through nicely to win. These 3 alongside the Happy Valley winner ensured a profit.
