Up early enough so here are my bets.

2.35 Musselburgh - Khamaary

Won very easy first time and should follow up again. Was non runner last time it was entered and had been gambled. Evens is a tad short but it should be a penalty kick.


2.55 York - Spark Plug

Below is taken from Brian Meehans webpage

SPARK PLUG – He is in tremendous form and ran a brilliant race at Goodwood last time out. This looks a great spot for him and we expect him to be extremely competitive. James Doyle takes the ride.
 
2.05 Musselburgh - Showdaisy

Heard a whisper for this last night in bookies - don't shoot the messanger
 
Good Luck with those Kegs. Got a few myself today at various prices -

11.00 Turffontein - ASPEN SHADOW - Workriders contest for the first in South Africa and gone with one of the better jockeys. Form could certainly be better, but pretty much backing the skill of the rider at 40's.

1.50 York - MUKHAYYAM - Nicely bred, fair form to date and the trainer has a good record in this event. Jockey won it last year as well, so enough going for him at 11/2.

2.00 Downpatrick - SEA BULL - Bought down last time, but fair 2nd prior to that and the extra distance should help at 28's.

5.50 Lingfield - TAKE A TURN - Modest effort on return, but remains a potential improver in handicaps.

6.30 Limerick - BATTLEROFTHEBOYNE - Thrown in on very best form and whilst not the force of old has shown enough in recent starts. Strong EW chance at 12's.
 
11.35 Turffontein - Top 3 in the betting all look opposable, so gone with a trio of outsiders -

BRIGHT FIRE at 33's
INDIAN STATE at 14's
ROSIE BUBBLES at 16's
 
Turffontein live on ATTHERACES and looks like the majority of the card will be covered.

12.10 Turffontein -

CANDY KISSES - Nicely bred debutante at 7's
JUST MY STYLE - Slow start and then ran green on debut. Should improve at 20's
SHAMROCK - Quietly fancied last time and certainly with the right trainer at 6's
 
1.20 Turffontein - MIESQUE'S RUMBA - Seldom far off and deserves to break her maiden tag at 5's.

1.50 Turffontein - RAIN SHADOW and SPUTNIK PLAIN - Neither is exactly consistent, but would be surprised if both run poorly. EW appeal for both at 20's and 14's respectively.
 
2.30 Turffontein - Ton of pace in the race, so going with 3 finishers -

NATIONAL KEY at 16's
BIZJET at 10's
REBUKED at 14's
 
3.05 Turffontein - VAR'S YOUR DADDY and HADDINGTON - VYD has come out of the Maidens nicely and looks capable of winning h'cap's at 6's. Haddington is not one to rely on, but is a capable sort and the trainer has had a good day so far. Could surprise at 25's.
