11.10 Turffontein - ROCKPAPERSCISSORS - Narrow defeat last time ( from a poor draw ) and a repeat of that would be good enough at 3's.

11.45 Turffontein - IDEAL WOLFF - Notebook horse at 6's.

1.35 Doncaster - HUNTER'S DAWN - Best run to date last time out and the better ground today should bring about more. Does need to improve, but 25's is a fair price to do so.

2.40 Turffontein - POOL PARTY - Not at his very best recently, but last time is excused as it was a listed handicap. Much easier today and certainly weighted to go well at 10's.

3.15 Turffontein - BELLA BLACK - FAV last time when 4th, but the form of that run has been boosted and does look a player today at 8's.

3.20 Doncaster - DEVOUR - Not a lot in 3 runs since debut handicap win, but respectable effort last time. Doubts over most of these for me and it is an 8 runner race, so more than happy with the 12's on offer.

4.40 Chelmsford - ASCOT JUNGLE - Nicely bred ex French sort, who hinted at ability in the provinces and went off 2nd FAV last time at Deauville. Hard to assess, but ought to be capable of better at 20's.

5.05 Doncaster - KING FERDINAND - Showed up for a long way on debut and can fare better today on quicker ground at 3's.

5.55 Chelmsford - EXCELLENT GEORGE - Way below his last winning mark and 5 of his 6 wins have been apprentice ridden, so every chance of success today at 7's
