English Championship
03 May 19:45 UK Cardiff v West Ham 2.75 3.00 2.75
04 May 19:45 UK Blackpool v Birmingham 2.50 3.10 2.90

Odds William Hill

Im toying with backing West Ham as their away form has been decent this season. Other tie is close to call.

Anybody any views ?

My view (which is worth precisely nothing) is that the first leg will be a draw. Whether that will be a nil nil and favour Cardiff in the second leg (I'm assuming away goals "count double" second leg???) or a scoring draw which will favour the hammers. The second leg is the interesting one.

I have a sneaking fancy for the home team in the second tie and the home team in the reverse fixture with Brum going through to the final. Wouldn't like to predict their opposition but I have money on West Ham (at a shit price - a fraction of that available now) to be promoted from weeks ago.

I would fancy West Ham to get to the final keggers but like ODM I wouldn't be suprised to see a draw in the first leg.
And like ODM I would have to fancy Blackpool at home, they have been there before a couple of yrs ago under Holloway and it's the sort of game he thrives on.
I'm fancying a West Ham v Blackpool final tell the truth.

Well,ODM is going for a draw, the rfo is going for a draw,Kevin Pullein points out that 38% of first legs have been draws and theres no reason to think the draw isnt value here...............SO it just needs LMC to tip the draw.....and um...
Ill leave you to ponder the likely result:):lookaround

I fancy a tight game, not sure about the draw but I'm under 2.5

Blackpool are winning but they don't exactly fill me with confidence, this game is still on a knife edge and could easily go either way, to settle a few nerves Blackpool need to score another in the 2nd half and quick.
Before Ince's flukey goal it had stalemate written all over it, on this viewing the Hammers should have no problem whatsoever getting into the Prem.

Coming on strong now Blacpool, I'd expect another goal in the last 15 mins the way this is going.

I never saw the game last night due to working at the elections but glad west ham won.

From what i've saw from tonights game ive got to agree slick that west ham should be too strong for both of these teams if they manage to stop cardiff scoring ay least 2. According to ceefax kenny miller missed a few for them last night ?

well maybe not but they should have lol, aye Miller missed a few Keggers but he seems past his sell by date now.
West Ham look the most assured team from what I have seen, their biggest problem I see is facing Blackpool at Wembley should they get there, they have the experience and showed glimpses tonight the style of play that got them up two years ago.
