Good luck TC :crossfingers

I'm affraid i'm going against your Aldershot this week though, i have to with Gillinghams superb away form and the 'shots being under pressure to go for the win. I'm surprised to see 11/8 (Corals) for the away but i could be wrong here as looking at oddschecker Aldershot are blue across the board while the Gills are on the drift.

Colchester to draw at Stevenage, i have to go for this too, it's a massive 21 games ago since Colchester last drew a game. I'll be doubling stakes on them next week if they dont get one here and again if it goes to a 3rd game. I'll count my losses after that one though.

I've not had much time for any in depth study this week but i've picked out 7 for a Super Heinz, others from these two leagues include Notts County @ Evs, Brentford @ 8/13, Bury @ 13/8 and Bradford @ 6/4 (though i'm not sure why i'm still continuing to put money on the tossers).

I've had small stakes on Gillingham to win and under 2.5 goals at 4.33 (local bookie, linked to Ladbrokes, so I'd guess it may be available there). Of the Gills' 11 away wins so far this season, 7 of them have been 1-0 or 2-0 (including 4 of the last 5 away games, the other being a 0-0 draw at York), the usual tactic being to get a goal and then shut up shop. Only 9 goals conceded in 16 away games, and Aldershot aren't particularly prolific at home with 16 goals in 17 games.

Evening gentlemen :). Think we are due an upset away rc, considering how bad we are at home I can't see the away form keeping up all season, 5 away clean sheets on the trot is some record..I think Aldershots clean sheet record is pretty good too at home so unders is probably the play, wouldn't like to pick a winner though..wouldn't think it will go over because we can't play any other way and Aldershot are desperate for points.

Evening HastGill, not seen you around for a while (not on here anyway).

It's true our home form has been letting us down, but our style of play appears to be better suited to playing away from home. We've made a habit recently of getting decent away results after poor home results (win at Southend after losing at home to Barnet, win at Bradford after losing at home to Wycombe), seems that every time the bedwetters on the Gillsonline forum start getting themselves worked up into a frenzy, we produce the goods away from home again and things calm down. Wouldn't rule out something similar again here (to be followed no doubt by a 1-0 defeat at home to Plymouth next week).

That said, the odds on us for the straight win weren't enough to tempt me, hence taking the Gills win and under 2.5 goals option. I'd be confident in that as long as we get the first goal (well, obviously, if Aldershot get the first goal the bet's fucked, but I mean that as long as we score first I'm confident we can shut them out for the rest of the game).

Hi guys, good to see the forum is going strong. Think Port Vale look big away at Oxford, Vale are second to us and very similar in form, average at home and v.good away, I probably wouldn't take Vale without draw cover but I would be surprised if they lose to what is a poor team on the slide..I don't really understand why but apart from Northampton most teams at the top seem to be better away.

Considering how good Barnets recent form is (top 4 since Davids joined) they look a big price away at a terrible Plymouth side, Barnet have signed Dani Lopez who got loads of goals on loan at Aldershot earlier in the season and after a good couple of performances I think he might score on Sat. Looking at it though it is a real 6 pointer, not sure I could back much with confidence..

I'm off to Hastings v Hampton & Richmond!! :frown

Poor team on the slide? They've just won away to the league leaders, you know :wink

:lol

Convieniently forgot that one Hast'....erased from the memory already lol

Bah, we're fucking useless at home..a total joke to be honest, if you watched us at home you would think you were watching a team in the bottom 6, total hoofball for 90 mins, been dire for months..bear in mind Oxford rested their two best attackers for that game too! I feel even more confident Vale will beat them after they got a decent result last time out, they aren't good enough to get two decent results on the trot..

Trust me..:beer

From the Aldershot viewpoint I have Gillingham down as favourites too :cry. We can be hard to break down though and we're unbeaten under our new manager, so I'm looking at some sort of draw cover - either DNB at 3/4 or 1/2 for the +0.25.

Agree wih HastGill1 about Barnet, and particularly Lopez who is a very classy striker. I've not seen Barnet this season, but Plymouth were very lucky to beat us a few weeks ago and looked even worse than Aldershot.

Also looking for unders at Accrington; neither they nor Torquay seem able to hit the net at the moment.

Been talked into gillingham, together with coventry & walsall & osasuna

Small loss for me, but the consolation that results were good for my anteposts (except for Cardiff :cry)

A very good point for Aldershot today TC. It looks like there's 10 clubs still in a relegation battle in this league now and i wouldn't want to call the bottom two, right now.
