I'll be keeping an eye on Southend's price up to kick off. Team news (marginally) favours Bradford, and Southend are without a win in five. Bradford can also be stubborn away from home, with a series of draws at the better sides.

Given all that I think the original price on Southend of the 1.53 quoted at the top of the thread was too short and I was going to take draw/Bradford, but the price has been lengthening and I think it's going too far the other way. If Southend slide to longer than evens I'll take them.

Im going with Southend tonight even without there captain they should still win this and there huge value now and my bet of the night. Yes they havnt won in 5 but they have lost only 2 of those and 3 of the games have been in cup matches. Bradford arnt doing no better either 1 win in 5. Southend in the league there last 5 have been LDWWW the loss coming to 3rd place Cheltenham away, there last 5 home league games are DWWDW. Bradford there last 5 league games have been DDLLD failing to score in 3 of those. There last 5 have been DDLLD without scoring in there last 4 away matches in a row. Southend are 4th in the home form table and Bradford are 23rd in the away form table. I cant see anything past a home win so

Southend £80 @ 1.90 bet365
Southend -2 £20 @ 5.75

Most of today's budget will go into strengthening (or should that be weakening?) my anteposts, so I'm only playing a couple of small fun bets today for limited stakes.

Shrewsbury to keep a clean sheet at evens with Sky appeals. Their home form is built on their defence; they usually keep a clean sheet at home, and have done so in their last three homes. Macclesfield's respectable showing is also built around their defence and they do have trouble scoring against the better sides and have a lengthy, ongoing injury crisis. So, shamefully playing the stats but one that looks value.

I also like Lewis Grabbon (Rotherham) to score anytime at the places offering 5/4 or better, assuming he starts. Wimbledon have their problems defensively, and Grabban has better than a goal a game at home. I think we'll see an open game and I'd have this at nearer evens.

The RFO has a hard on for your lot, TC. Theyre bigging up Danny Hylton & the basis is that Vale are scoreless at home for 4 games

I liked the look of us at 7/2 but we've come in too much for me. And we're so ****** inconsistent I've given up either backing or opposing us as we've cost me too much money this season. Both sides have trouble scoring so if I was going to touch this one it'd be unders.

Hylton has come on leaps and bounds this season and (apparently) has higher level clubs looking at him but after winning L2 player of the month earlier in the season he still contributes but his goals have tried up. That's a real shame as I've got a few bob on him E/W L2 top goalscorer :angry

...And (I'd forgotten until the teams were announced) Danny Hylton is susmended.
