Two for me so far:

Southend to win at Dagenham. I've had a look at some stats, and over the last two seasons the teams finishing in the top three travelling to teams finishing in the bottom three have won ten games out of eighteen, meaning according to the stats 4/5 would be thr right price (although a very small sample size). However, Southend are doing particularly well (2 points dropped in 10 games and that a draw with high-flying Morecambe); Dagenham 11 defeats in 12. That has persuaded me there's decent value in the 5/6 and to do what I'm not usually comfortable doing and backing a short priced away side as at the moment there is a difference in class.

Also, now Plymouth are coming out of administration they're showing some sign of improvement as they're allowed to recruit loan players, and their four defeats in their last eight have come against teams in the play-off or promotion positions. Torquay's recent three wins on the bounce are against mixed opposition. The home side is rightly favourite, but I think that at 11/8 double chance Plymouth are priced against their earlier form and worth a punt. The derby factor might also help level things.

Southend do look an obvious bet especially if the daggers have yet to sort out their striker shortage.
I will be betting on Southen antepost outright seeing as they should win and crawley could well drop points.

...and immediately I make the bet Dagenham sign a couple of loanees :banghead

One striker, Montano (sp?) from West Ham; has a decent goals/games ratio on loan at Notts Co and Swindon, and a defender from Brentford. Other than the stats I don't know anything about either. I still reckon Southend should win, but I'd have thought about it a bit more and been a bit less enthusiastic if I'd known.

Yes,I agree...though a hedge on 1-1 on betfair might make you feel a bit better.
Actually TC,this is precisely the reason that over the years I have learnt to be wary of antepost relegation bets esp.in lower leagues.
At any time a team that is struggling can aquire 2,3 or even more signings who may immediately address the problem(s)they were experiencing.
In the case of Dagenham, when I tipped them in my thread,I always knew this would happen and it will be very illuminating to see how they play on saturday.
good luck

Crawley, Southend and a small back of Bradford for me

A possible bet is Hereford (v Burton). Richards is out, and if Kee fails his late test the viritors will only have one fit striker. They also have problems in defence with a couple of suspensions to importnat players. Burton concede anyway, and (if playing)Tom Barkhuizen (four goals in twelve) would look value to score at slightly better than 2/1.

EDIT: Kee plays, and Hereford have shortened so I've just gone for the Barkhuizen scorer bet.

Southend :) (despite team news so a bit of luck, I think)
Plymouth
Barkhuizen :)

2 from 3 and a decent enough profit and some of my anteposts got a boost too.

Yorkie probably came out with a plus, as well:thumb

Came out in profit not much but happy enough with it, Bradford are into the black bin now WD winners
