A question for Punter, this: :help - Torquay look short for a side with only two home wins in eight and one win in nine. Hereford are above them in the (last eight) form table and their only away defeats are at high flying Southend and Shreswbury - although at home they're a bit less successful. I haven't seen any team news - any idea why Hereford are so long? What am I missing?

Does look short and maybe due to their 4-0 rout of an exceeedingly poor AFC Wimbleton side has influenced the price. they beat them 3-1 back in Feb too, ties in Nicely with the 10/11 on offer for Shrewsbury, 3 wins at home on the bounce v AFC who are shipping goals at the moment 12 in 3 to be precise

Crewe may or may not beat Aldershot but it's a toin coss (I meant that)IMHAHO, 3.4 is just silly and needs taking just to piss people off who think they know everything., will the shots have taken anything positive out of their midweek showing v the six oners? nah I dont think so , Crewe ended Cheltenhams 5 game streak without a problem and the could brush aside this shower who have won 1 in 5 the rest defeats

I've taken 10/11 on Shrewsbury to beat Wimbledon, 19 points from a possible 21 at home. Wimbledon have been in terrible form recently leaking 12 goals in 3 games. Shrewsbury for me are a standout bet.

Sorry TC, i've no idea, but i've chanced the 3/1 in a combo' bet (100/30 Skybet).

I wasn't going to have a bet this weekend other than Spurs so didn't bother looking in earlier, but changed my mind later.
I'm not sure what's been going on at Hereford lately, a combination of a few things have perked us up a bit, picking up 10pts from a possible 12 in our last four games has been a huge relief.
Having said that, the last 3 wins have all been against other struggling sides, but in every instance we've known that if we could get a win then we'd go above them, the same applies tomorrow.

I'm not confident, but on current form and that price i thought i'd chance them, though i have a feeling i've jumped on to late and we might come home happy with a point. We dont normally do too bad down Torquay though.

Regarding the Shrewsbury v Wimbledon game i'm going to back Lionel Ainsworth to score again, he came close on a few occasions midweek and i think is overpriced for an anytime scorer, he's definately one of the top 3 or 4 players in this league imo and is due another goal.
To save transfering money i've taken 11/4 (100/30 @ Coral) anytime scorer, 12/1 to score 2 and 50/1 for a hat trick.

Not much for me this week as I can't find much value, so only a few very small punts for interest. I've also got man-flu, so haven't felt up to researching.

I agree that Crewe are undervalued, although a Shots win wouldn't surprise me. Likewise Hereford, and I've taken small punts on Hereford and Crewe, both double chance for 2 units at just short of evens.

I've also had a couople of units on Crawley at 4/9; not a particularly attractive price with Barnett missing, but they should still have enough.

I was looking at Shrewsbury too but their injury problems put me off. Given Wimbledon's defence a scorer might be the way to go and I'll keep my fingers crossed for Punter and Ainsworth :crossfingers

I was also hoping to get Justing Richards for Burton at much better than evens, but he's still injured.

Cut and pasted from the Scottish thread - that all went spectacularly badly :angry

Did anyone get a L2 winner today?

The bookies had us this week TC.

I'm left with the feeling that i've just backed Ainsworth in the wrong two games, i'm sure he's going to pop up with goals soon. I'll leave him now but he's definately worth considering again, especially at the prices he's being put up at.

I did get a winner Wayne, a nice start to the day, i didn't post the bugger up though.

Only one midweek fixture so I'll shove it in this thread and edit the title.

English League 2
01 Nov 19:45 UK Aldershot v Burton 5/4 11/5 7/4

I've had a couple of punts on the big game. Firstly; Burton to win at 3/1, which looks incredibly long. Aldershot have done well recently, and Danny Hylton is in fine scoring form, but Burton have won three of four and are so hot up front prolific Justin Richards may not make the team tonight. An away win isn't a probable result, but I don't think it's 3/1, either.

Also taken overs at 10/11 (Hills). Burton are one of the more adventurous sides away from home, and while we're not particularly prolific, we have been more adventurous of late, which belies the stat of only 40% of our games going over - all of our last 5 league games have.

Hoping November starts better than October ended :crossfingers

have to agree that 3s is good,I am gonna take the best I could find,14-5 with good old VC with a hedge on the 1-1 on betfiar and a tiny saver on 2-2.
I really dont want burton to win due to my promotion bets on lge 2.Havnt burton and cheltenham done well!

ah,managed to get 3-1 on betfair,have also covered 2-1- thus a 0-0 draw beckons

 I still reckon they were value punts though. At least Shots move up the table :dance.
