I was waiting for teams before punting on tonight's game, but Izzy McLeod makes the starting XI for Barnet after (I assume) shaking off a knock that could have kept him out of Tuesday's JPT game. Izzy has scored in half of Barnet's games this season, including a good record on his travels and good recent form. SkyBet have him at 2/1 anytime; I'd price him at around 6/4 as Torquay like to 'entertain' - only five sides have conceded more at home.

Barnet have only a couple of clean sheets on their travels, and agains ta side that tend to score regularly I reckon they'll have to chase the game at some stage. With McLeod up front they're quite capable of doing so, so I've had a slightly bigger bet of overs at 7/10; not particularly generous, but I think takeable.

Usually, when I bet on goalfests they end up 0-0 :banghead

Well, that all went pear shaped unless something dramatic happens in stoppage time. :embarassed

And McLeod got subbed. :banghead

Gillingham to beat Macclesfield @ 2.3 [Skybet]

Looks rock solid bet

Gone medium on Shrewsbury (0). Aldershot struggle to score, and rumour is that our top scorer (Danny Hylton) isn't fit - although I've not seen that confirmed anywhere. Our home form is pretty uninspiring with our only semi-recent notable scalp being a lacklustre Burton.

Shrewsbury have only two defeats in eleven, and those were agains tthe top two. The stats also suggest that promotion chasers tend to come away from lower half teams with something and at a fraction under evens I think the price is okay.

Burton are without Richards (expected) and Kee (touch and go) for the visit to Crawley. Burton usually rely on scoring more than the opposition and I expect their defence to be severely tested by Tubbs and Barnett, and without their usual firepower up yhe right end. Gone for Crawley at 1/2, resisting the temptation for any form of handicap which doesn't seem to add any value.

Well, this weekend has gone pretty badly. Most of my anteposts moved in the right direction, but they'll be wiped out if I have too many weekends like this
