Dunno yet but something has obviously gone off behind the scenes. You don't send someone all the way to Cardiff with the team and then sack them hours before the game on the spur of the moment.

Nope. I'm as surprised as I was when he was stupid enough to take the Newcastle job which was certain failure. Played the best football for decades under him but some of the fans won't forgive him for the way he handled the Newcastle approach and some will blame him for Derby not getting into the premiership that season.

If he brings the decent football back I'd be happy enough with that this season. A play off place (and inevitable failure) would be a bonus.

Chris Powell staying as his number 2 which is good
 
Chris Powell staying is a good move.
I'm not a Mclaren fan and a manager going back rarely works but good luck mate, I have a feeling you'll need it.
