Nope, I have the right ones. I'm talking about the ones that some clown started a campaign on TDP for, to save the club. They were going to raise so many hundred thousands to keep it in existance. My view was that it was all money wasted and they would be better off spent pissing their money up against the wall rather than trawling the internet begging and looking for suckers.

They ended up buying the club. The club got relegated and (as I predicted, even with my limited knowledge of Scottish football) they are well on the way to being relegated again. Clubs that are run badly should go bus. That's my view. I know it's not the fault of the fans and I know the emotional investment that fans have with a club. If they are real fans, why not support them in some shit non-league game every saturday? Why does it have to be in a shit Scottish league game?

Football is the only "business" that gets away with this shit. I think Portsmouth should be liquidated and made to start again. Fuck their hundred year history, if you're spending more than you've got coming in then you deserve to go bang. Woolworth had a hundred year history, why didn't we all chip in to help them out and get the tax man to wipe out their tax bill?

It's not easy to let go of tradition and just start supporting another football club (unless you live in London and support Man United) but football is becoming more of a business every decade. In a hundred year's time, people will change their clubs whenever they feel like it and they will wonder what the fuck all the fuss was about.

Oh right, yeah I remember reading about that.On Stirling, there opponents Stenhouusemuir are best priced Even money,is that good, aint paid any interest in these leagues for a while now.

Berwick v Montrose

Both teams to Score @ 1.6 [Bwin]

Any of you Scottish chappies know what the system is for relegation from Scottish Div 3? How many teams are relegated for a start? Plus, is it possible that a team will finish bottom and not be relegated due to teams not having the structures in place to be promoted to the league?

I hope not because I want to see Stirling dumped out of the league.

I think the Scottish League is a closed shop with no relegation out of the league. There ain't even re-election, like the English had until auto promotion/relegation to and from the Conference.

aye, no relegation from the third, new teams can only enter through either league expansion (Which is currently being discussed, but wont happen, never does) or a club going bust (i.e. Gretna)

This means that only two (or four clubs depending on how you look at it) have exited the league since Third Lanark in the 1960's, being Gretna (Insolvency), Airdrieonians (Liquidation), Clydebank (Moved to Airdrie and became Airdrie Utd, and Medowbank Thistle (Moved to Livingston and renamed accordingly)

The only new clubs to join the league in this time were Medowbank in '74, Peterhead and Elgin in 2000 when the SPL expanded to 12 teams, Gretna in '02 to replace Airdrieonians, and Finally Annan to replace Gretna on '08

New clubs are elected by current members when a vacancy arises, Edinburgh City who left the league in '49 applied unsuccessfully in both 2002 and 2008.

Shite system but there you are
