With squads still being put together it's obviously too early to put serious money on the coming season, but I've already taken (small stakes) Bradford at Swindon on the opening day. Bradford were I think 15/4 but have been coming in and are down to 2/1 in places; I've taken Boyle's 5/2. Reasoning is that the price seems based on last season, when Swindon reached the play-offs. Some of the team were loanees who have obviously gone back; others have been snapped up by bigger clubs. The consensus among supporters I know is that the team will need rebuilding and likely to be weaker next season.
No prices for relegation from the Conference - oops, I mean 'National League', but Braintree and Torquay are 19th and 14th respectively for the title, so presumably will be odds against for relegation. Braintree struggled last time and have lost Alan Devonshire as manager, and Torquay apparently have had to slash their wage budget. Depending on prices, I'm interested in backing both for relegation, along with Guiseley, who are presumably the weakest of the promoted sides.
