Last day before the South African lockdown begins and gone with one in every race -
11.15 - CITY DEEP - 33's in a weak looking workriders event.
11.50 - CLOTH OF ICE - Notebook horse based on debut run and 6's into 4's already.
12.30 - THE EIGHTH LORD - Couple of OK runs from 4 to date and EW chance on those at 11's.
1.10 - CAPJACK - Showed good improvement when trying this distance on 3rd start. Finished 6.75 lengths behind today's 2nd FAV and they meet on the same weight terms today. That one is on its 16th start today, to Capjack's 4th, so not sure the pick should be 14's.
1.45 - GENTLEMEN ONLY - Long losing run a concern, but has plenty of ability and ran well last time. Draw 16 not a huge worry here and really should go well at 10's.
2.20 - TOBEFAIR - Poor effort last time, but maiden win looks decent and went off at 4's last time on handicap debut. Should be capable of better at 12's.
2.55 - CATEGORY FOUR - First career win came out of nowhere and quickly followed up in handicap company. Shade in and out since, but this is his easiest assignment in a while and will enjoy the step back up in trip at 14's.
3.30 - GOLDEN MAN - Potentially very well treated, has form at the trip and not beaten far the last time he raced in a 72 rated handicap. Good draw to boot at 25's.
