my thoughts

Friday
Carmarthen [12th] vs Afan Lido [9th] ...Carmarthen were well beaten in the second half at Bangor last week against Lido who had a great home win against last week's leaders TNS. I expect Lido to continue that form even though they have not won away yet
New Saints [3rd] vs Airbus [7th] ...TNS were surprisingly beaten at Lido last week against a side that struggles to win away , I think TNS will recover from last week's shock especially at home.

Saturday
Newtown [11th] vs Bangor [1st] ...Newtown on a poor run , have lost their last three matches. Bangor the form side having won their last three matches with a good second half performance last week to win 4-0 , all goals being scored in the second half. An away win
Port Talbot [8th] vs Llanelli [2nd]... Port Talbot have been struggling lately whilst Llanelli have got back to winning ways , they have won their last three. Another Saturday away win for me

Sunday
Prestatyn [6th] vs Aberystwyth [10th]...Prestatyn are a difficult side to beat at home against a side who have only performed to the potential on some rare occassions . Not a game I'll be betting on.
Bala Town [5th] vs Neath [4th] ... a difficult one to predict , Bala Town lost at Llanelli last week. Neath have sacked their management team and got back onto the winning way with a 5-0 home win against Newtown.

Not sure about my bets yet but Afan Lido interest me .
I'm leaning towards a Saturday away double at the moment.

reading this preview has confirmed my bet for tonight , it a strange feeling backing a side that has not won away but I'm on Afan Lido @ 2.60 with bluesq

Carmarthen v Afan Lido (19:30)

Lido enter into a crucial nine-day period, with two vital League games against fellow-strugglers Carmarthen this evening and Aberystwyth in midweek, before a local derby in the Welsh Cup at Port Talbot to juggle.
Andy Dyer's side enjoyed an outstanding win over TNS last Friday on home soil, but a trip to Richmond Park is never the easiest of tasks. He has all his senior players available, although the returning Stephen Pockett may start on the bench.
"Carmarthen are a dangerous team who have performed well at home but we need at least a point so the players will have to perform at the level they achieved against The New Saints", said the Lido chief.
Carmarthen have doubts over several players, with midfielder Nicky Palmer (thigh) expected to miss out. Defender Richard Hughes should make a welcome return but teenager Rhys Dalling, who impressed in his first full appearance against Champions Bangor last week, is struggling with a shoulder injury.
Old Gold boss Tomi Morgan said; "Lido have done exceptionally well this season and have picked up some impressive results so it will be another test for my young lads who are improving week by week.
"This is an important match and we need to get something from it as we cannot afford to get too far adrift at the bottom."

last night's results

Welsh Premier League
Carmarthen 2-5 Afan Lido :thumb
The New Saints 3-1

I hope you were on them ODM .

I've had a poor November since ODM posted on the welsh thread :p

Wasn't on them mate (which explains the wins:lol). I'll do you a favour and stay away :frown

It was just a coincidence ODM

I can't believe that you posting on the Welsh thread can influence a football game in Bala , .

hang on , perhaps you've got special powers

Keep it quiet mate. It's not exactly the kind of special powers that you'd want to be bragging about is it:cry

today I cannot see past favourites in every league, in this league I'm going on the asian cap

Llanelli -0.75
Bangor -1.5

double

yesterday's results

Welsh Premier League
Newtown 2-1 Bangor
Port Talbot 0-1 Llanelli

I pick the wrong week to back league leaders playing inferior sides , from Bangor ,Southampton , Southend to Wrexham :banghead

Bala Town [5th]v Neath [4th]

Both sides had a good start to the season but recently have faltered.
Bala Town wins since the beginning of October have been against the bottom clubs , they had a few draws but lost at Llanelli 3-1 last week .
Bala Town have injury doubts over midfielder Connolly. defenders Stuart Jones and
Neath had 5 defeats and one loss before they got rid of their management team 10 days ago , it seemed to revive the players and they won 5-0 at home to Newtown .
Neath have players returning from injuries which include scorer Luke Bowen and midfielders Harris and Collins .

Im going with Neath @ 2.5 with bet365

p.s. Just heard the sad news that Gary Speed has died
