edit Don't worry Wales is not in a time warp, I now realise that it should be November 30th.

Is it true that stupid mistakes in thread titles make the thread lucky

some quick and brief thoughts

Airbus v Newtown ...home win for one of the better sides in this league
Llanelli v Aberystwyth ...Llanelli have done nothing to convince me yet of their recovery under new management , Aber keep surprising me - no bet

Afan Lido v Connah`s Quay ...Lido keep on losing but they also score , Connah's Quay not so good away , small bet home win?
Carmarthen v Bala Town ...Carmarthen improving and Bala Town results look better than their performances
Port Talbot v Prestatyn ...Port Talbot under new management against the surprise team of the season
Bangor v The New Saints ...I believe the league is between these two and at the moment Bangor are in better form than TNS but TNS have players that can produce a win , this is a difficult one , I'll probably go with the home side

Hi all,

My bets:

Airbus -1.25AH @ 1.85 with Bet365. Airbus have lashed out a few hidings so far this year, I was tempted to take them on a bigger handicap for higher odds, but Newtown haven't conceded quite as many in recent games as they were doing earlier in the season. They will also be motivated not to lose by a high score, even if the game is lost, after losing the reverse fixture 1-7! Still, Newtown haven't won in their last five games and Airbus are much the better side, they are a team with a lot of goals in them. I'm confident they will win this by more than one goal.

Port Talbot vs Prestatyn over 3.5 @ 2.1 with Betsafe. My usual WPL bet. Prestatyn can be relied upon to be poor at the back and excellent going forward, whilst Port Talbot have been reasonably overish as well. I think Prestatyn have a couple of player suspended including skilful (albeit slow) player-manager Neil Gibson, but as long as they have Parkinson and Price playing they will score goals. Port Talbot have got a new manager, although from what I understand he is only in temporary charge. Teams often benefit from a change in the short term and this game could go either way but I think they'll be goals whatever happens.

Afan Lido vs Connah's Quay over 3.5 @ 1.83 with Bet365. This is my biggest bet of the weekend. The two most overish sides in a very high scoring league meet and both need three points. The reverse fixture finished 6-4 and I can see a similar scoreline here. I watched a rerun of the Connah's Quay game against Aber last weekend. They were a bit unlucky to lose 3-0 and deserved to get on the scoresheet. They play football the right way and get lots of men forward but are poor defensively. In Rhys Healey they have probably the best emerging talent in the league and I'm sure he will cause a weak Lido defence lots of problems here.

In the big game of the weekend I would fancy TNS but not sure whether to get involved. The odds aren't massively inviting and I already have an antepost bet on TNS.

Everything lost. The goals seemed to dry up this week in the WPL.

like you pg I did not back a winner , kicking myself for not backing Afan Lido but hindsight is great for picking winners after the ft whistle
