Chink is a pretty harmless nickname, isn't it? Everyone likes the Chinese, there's no racism there (not real racism anyway, maybe the made-up racism of modern times), it's just a term of endearment. Are we to stop using nicknames for all people from different countries? Obviously the words 'nigger' and 'paki' are offensive as they have direct connotations with racial hatred but I don't think I've ever heard anyone use the word 'chinkie' in an abusive or threatening way.

Is calling a Scotsman a jock racist? Or an Australian an aussie? Or an Irishman Paddy? It's fucking ridiculous, man.

If the Chinese were white-skinned then no-one would have said a word.
