When I first saw the line up I though Jimmy Bullard straight away but didn't think his odds would be that low to begin with.
Carl fogarty is also a very likeable and down to earth chap, I reckon he will do well, could be one to back with intentions to lay off later on.

Just had a fiver on Tinchy Stryder. I know fuck all about him other than I saw him on a panel show once (may have been 8 out of 10 cats) and he seemed to have a decent sense of humour and didn't take himself too seriously. Got a decent fanbase too among the type of people who watch this stuff. Bullard is probably a worthy fav as he's a well known practical joker but is that going to get him into trouble when people are hungry and tired and tempers get frayed?

I fucking hate Craig Charles but he'll have a massive fanbase and is one of ITV's own so may be edited favourably. On reflection, I'd rather have my money on the 13/2 for him than the stingy 15/8 on the joker. Michael Burke is the one to watch. They love a cool, calm father-figure type who gets on with everyone and I see his price being a lot shorter than the 16 that it currently is on betfair after the first week.

Word of warning though, for those having an early punt, they'll be chucking two more people in there before the first week's out and it's not a clever thing to be doing to be backing before you even know all the runners.

Just a fiver on Tinchy for me for the entertainment value

For as funny as he is and as much of a prankster he is, i think Bullard will go early. I'm looking forward to seeing him in it though.

I'm going to hold all bets for now but definitely getting involved at some point.

Bullard is going to get picked for all the trials after shitting himself whilst picking those letters.

Kendra done well considering she was shit scared jumping out of the plane but when the parachute started spinning out of control I thought she would have freaked completely.

Well the fat useless waste of space has walked (wobbled?) out of the show vowing never to work in TV again (if only)and the latest twist is that Craig Charles' brother has died and he'll be making a decision - right about now actually - on whether to quit the show or not.

The Mirror is reporting that he's "set to quit" but Betfair is by far a greater judge than that rag and it's been interesting to watch his odds rise from about 15/1 out to 35/1 as word spread around the internet and then back into 15/1 again as the hysteria cooled.

Value to be gained by backing and laying in that feeding frenzy I think and now I hope he stays in:thumb

I guessing he'll probably quit but could be there for the end of the show celebrations, maybe?

    Nah. No chance.

He'll quit surely, nothing to be gained by staying.

The betting suggests there's only two that can win this, Bullard 4/6, Sykes 5/2. I cant see anybody else winning it, maybe Jake Q, but i dont think so. My money is on Sykes but i suspect i'm on the wrong one.

1st elimination is a more interesting market.
I've got stakes back for Vicki Michelle, but the one i'm hoping for is Michael Buerk who i took @ 20/1 and a bit more 10/1. The best price for him to go first now is 7/1, he's as short as 5/1. He could put me well in front.
He's contributed very little and looks like he'd already spent 3 months without food before he went in. I think he'll go 1st or 2nd, fingers crossed it's 1st

    I got that bit right.

Taken 3 to go tonight, only small bets as there are others that could easily go.There are bigger prices about, these bets placed in a Laddies shop

    Nadia @ 7/2
    Edwina @ 16/1
    Foggy @ 25/1

A bigger bet that i've had is Sykes and Buerk to make the final two @ 14/1

Thought Bullard came across as a complete prick the other day. And I fucking hate the word "banter" :wank

Agreed RC, it was the only mistake he made really as apart from that he'd been the liveliest. Probably showed his true side with Jake there though

    Nadia Eliminated.

Re-invested the return on tonight's eviction.

    Kendra @ 6/4
    Tynchy @ 5/1
    Edwina @ 12/1

Kendra and Tynchy are for stakes back but Edwina would be a nice payout.

Also added to my Name the Final Two bet.

    Foggy and Sykes @ 5/1
    Foggy and Buerk @ 16/1

Foggy and Sykes for stakes back, Foggy and Buerk for a nice payout.

Can't get a handle on this at all. Was fully expecting Tinchy or Vicki to go last night .

I took a gamble on Charles coming back in at some stage so potential decent sized loss if anyone but Mel or jake wins it.

Foggy is the danger, Jale would win me £20 but I'd be celebrating as if it was more as it gets me out if the mire.

No more room to back and lay either

I'm left with Foggy or Mel for a very small profit on the outright market, Tynchy would be a very nice winner for me. Obviously fearing 11/10 fav' Jake though.

I look certain to lose on the final two unless it's Foggy and Mel and they are only to break even.

Did quite well on the first two eliminations, lost on the 3rd and didn't bother last night.

I think Foggy will win it now.

As Punter already knows, I've had a 'mare on this and have had a terrible book throughout. I usually find trading on these reality tv markets pretty easy but this one has been a total disaster.

I have at least recovered losses somewhat over the last week, but I'm still looking at an all-red book after wasting a fortnight trading 4k+ backwards and forwards :embarassed I wobbled a little last week when Michael Buerk was on the verge of quiting as had they put a new celebrity then my liability on them would have instantly been £800+. Luckily that didn't happen and then they added an 'Any Other' runner so I was able to stick a couple of quid on at 600.0 to solve that problem and reduce tied-up funds.

Yeah, it was the withdrawal of Craig Charles that screwed my book originally, just as well I moved things around before Bullard drifted (and then exited) as I had the current fav for £206.

If I do play next year then it will only be in the final week.

    Last week...
