The most dangerous thing since Cantona kung fu kicked that nob at Palace? Or was that technically off the pitch so it doesnt count....

Now that's dangerous. Got off it of course, with the help off loop-hole Nick..

What's the chances of anyone else getting away with it.

Williams takes a cheap shot twatting RVP with the ball yet your focus is on Fergie's (admittedly stupid) comment, Cantona's kung-fu kick from 1995, Roy Keane's career that ended in 2005 and Fergie's driving offence in 1999.

"Ashley Williams find cure for footballers who fall over at the slightest touch but can't get up" should be today's headlines not the other crap

I'm kind of the opinion that RVP reacted like that as he thought it was a boot that had hit him, not the ball.

I do think though, thats its very nice of old fergie to sacrifice himself by saying something silly just to take the flak off the Villa :unsure
he must have known what was coming.....

In all seriousness, I do think you're all missing the point.

United put in a shit performance meaning City claw back 2 points, most of United's team looked like they couldn't be arsed and Rooney was as bad as I've ever seen him. Has any of that made the headlines? Or has Fergie once again 'protected' his team with his manipulation of the media and his mind games. Yes, his 'distraction' was a little OTT on this occasion but the end result is the same. Everyone's talking about exactly what he wants them to talk about. Added to that, he might just have got RVP a little more protection in the next few games.

Silly old cunt? I reckon this Fergie bloke might make a decent manager one day............
