Horse Racing Bets 1st June 2020

Plenty going on today, with South African racing back as well, so figured it was worth its own thread.

10.30 Greyville - MACALLAN - Shade disappointing last time at 6's and is one of the more exposed. Has gone off FAV in 3 of 7 career starts though and has shown plenty of ability, so comfortable having an EW punt at 20's.

11.00 Greyville - PASSIVITY - All 4 career starts here and fair effort last time off the back of a 37 week break. Will need to improve to take this, but does not need as much as 20's suggests.

11.35 Greyville - CHEWBACCA - Nicely bred sort whose dam was a winner and not convinced by those with form, so happy going with the sole newcomer in the race at 14's.

1.00 Newcastle - MUATADEL - Cheekpieces back on, is on a workable mark and has gone well fresh in the past. Yet to win over this far, but still enough going for him at 25's.

1.55 Greyville - TWO OF US - Dropping in class on first run for this trainer and pick of his Turffontein form has him going close at 12's.

3.20 Newcastle - NORTHGATE LAD - Comeback run OK and has form off higher marks in the past. Risky, but huge chance if at best at 20's.

5.05 Newcastle - GOOD TIDINGS - Visor left off, gelded since last start and represents the Gosden yard at 4's.

6.15 Newcastle - MISTER BLUE - Drift to 40's probably says it all, but just could not resist an EW on such a nicely bred sort at that price.

11.00 Dieppe - GOSPEL D'ALENE - Back off a break, but reasonable form prior to November at 14's.

11.30 Dieppe - SUNKA REINE - Last 2 not so good, but decent prior to those. Risky, but could prove a bit of value at 20's.

3.05 Greyville - CLASS OF EIGHT - Weak looking handicap and this one was 6/1 last time when running poorly. Coming down the weights and well drawn in 3, so fair EW shout at 16's.

3.40 Greyville - Combination FC / TC with these -
