    10 pts each way Norah Starr - 3.10 Fairyhouse

    That's me done and dusted this week, had a few close calls but if this doesn't at least place I will probably get beat.

    BET 6
    2.55 Ling - RODEAN - WON 4/7
    3.50 Wolves - REI D'ORO - WON evens
    6.20 Dund - ATMOSPHERIC HIGH - 3rd 11/4

    bet profit = 4.29
    total profit = 15.26

    ~~~~~~
    It's been a long time since I've studied an all-weather card and, after analysing the first 3 races at Lingfield I hope it's a long time til I do so again :help
    If Marc's Norah Starr wins I'm in big trouble but in with a shout if it doesn't, although I still need points on the board.
    12.55 Ling - MONADREEN DANCER - 5pts win
    1.25 Ling - TUXEDO - 5pts win
    2.00 Ling - CUT THE CACKLE - 7pts win
    also
    1.5pt trixie
    1.25 Ling - TUXEDO
    2.00 Ling - CAPTAIN DIMITRIOS
    2.5pts ew double
    bank remaining = 20pts
    CUT THE CACKLE - 7pts win
    won @ 3/1 for 21pts profit
    I think the standings are 36.26 - 26 to me, Marc needs his selection to win as a place won't be enough (unless it drifts badly from 9/2 out to 9/1 or bigger. If it wins I need to make approx 50 pts profit from my last 20 pts, depending on the SP of Marc's pick. Looking at it's form I think it'll run a big race, I might stick a tenner on it, that'll stop the fucker winning :lol
    I've used this tactic today , my opponent is on Everton , which was one I was considering , so I've had a few quid on the toffees
    38.5 - 36.26 to me, you've 20 points left so you'll surely find something to win.
    I make it that you're on 28.5, as the profit from 10pts ew on a placed 5/4 shot (1/4 odds) is 2.25, I think you've included the place stake?
    You're wrong Seen, the return from the place is 12.5 pts
    It wasn't a place bet though, it was an ew bet.
    In that case I've worked out my 2nd bet wrongly...
    There's an extra 5pts to add to my score, so I'm leading 41.26 - 38.5
    I know how your calculation is worked out ODM, but I've avoided e/w bets all week as they don't give any return once the win part is deducted.
    I think Seen needs to go the the European Court Of Human Rights or even IBAS.
    The win bet is the win bet and the place bet is the place bet.
    An ew bet at 4/1 if placed at 1/4 odds would return you for the win (obviously) and 10pts for the place. In the real world you would then get your £10 place stake back making £20 but we don't get that back for this comp'
    I see what you're saying in that you put 20pts on and return 20pts in the above instance so you haven't gained anything but that's not how it works. If you put £20 with a free bet, you would find your account credited by £10 for the place
