2011 Rugby Union World Cup Betting

Good luck fellas and well done so far. I know little about this mans game but i'm up and i'm just about to watch it, shouting on the Welsh of course. My bet for the game is total match points under 40.5 @ 2.50

Followed Traeth's advice, but did not go mad, Come on Wales.......2nd in the group will do nicely to give Ireland the easy route :)

Ffs, just before half time, keep those points down!

Just joined you on that Kerry bet Suirthing :thumb 4-6 @ P.Power

why did I bother getting up , looks like a couple of welsh players are carrying injuries
and the ref is crap , does he understand the back foot rule?

I enjoyed that. Bet landed too.

England -37.5 @ 1.94 next :unsure

Wales 17-10 Samoa , costly conversion miss......
Welsh supporters posting comments like this one after that game "Let's not look at the performance too much. A win is a win. Move onto the next game. "
Ah Feck it....a win is not a win!.....when you have them backed at -8 on the cap :-(

Poor Pie Chucker is on the missing list, he is probably drowning his sorrows someplace all alone....don't despair Pie Chucker, listen to me and Traeth, believe me thats only a loan you gave Wakibet, we will get that back for you :)

I wouldnt worry about PC, he's still not spent all the winnings he made on doubling Ireland & Bangladesh back in the 2007 Cricket World Cup......ahh, those were the days :)

Considering there's only about 15 people on this forum, this thread is rather excellent :thumb

They changed that years ago, Traeth, as long as you're inside the sideline you can bowl from anywhere now.......

I very rarely criticize rugby referees but the getting up early/poor performance/losing bet made me mardy.

We're still in the cup that's the most important thing , but this is a betting thread , so let get some more winners boys , the handicapper is getting nearer the scores now so team news will be important , so I may be later posting my bets [ still the day before]

"Also, a heads-up for Wednesday when Japan play Tonga. Japan will put out their best XV - the outfit that played France - and I had them as 5 pt favourites in this. Kirwan targeting two wins to finish third in group and therefore qualify for WC 2015. Bookies have the handicap up as Tonga as 12 pt favourites! I'll be piling into that with all the yen I can muster."[/quote, Pie-Chucker]

the Bookies seem to be onto it PC, only now went to have a look at that and that +12 for Japan has been chopped :-(

Whats Japan 1-10 mean?
Speaking to a big Rugby fan & gambler. Tried to get him on here (or where we were) loads of times but he doesnt do forums. Cant understand why you'd share knowledge & watch the price drop....gave up trying to persuade him in the end :cry

Anyway, talked this bet through to him & he reckoned it was the best bet he's heard in ages

Presumably it means Japan to win by between 1 & 10 points ? Ignore me, I'm new :unsure

I read your post pie and mentioned it to a couple of mates down the local yesterday , decided to place the bet on Japan +12 and it was gone , down five points, that's a fair bit.
I've gone for the Japan win , I'm a bit hesitant about the Japan 1-10 , Tonga did tire in the last 15 minutes against Canada and I can see the same happening again a factor Japan could exploit if they are ahead and Tonga are chasing a score.
Good luck with your bet pie

I'm having two bets
Japan to win @ 3.35 with betfair ...that nonsense with Aussie wallet thing
Japan +7 with bet365

Okay, taken:
Japan win @ 2/1 5pnts Bet365
Japan +7 @ 10/11 5pnts Bet365
Japan win 13+ @ 7/1 2pnts Bet365

Aye Cobro I wouldn't be suprised to see this match be just as close. I'm sure i read somewhere that Japan have won the last 5 meetings between themselves and Tonga.
Japan +12, what a bet that was, they say the early bird catches the worm and its true. wouldn't have minded some of that.

Nice website here for rugby stats..
http://www.rugbydata.com/tonga/japan/gamesplayed
and it's confirmed Japan have won in their last 5 meetings.
