11.00 Turffontein - STREET FLYER - Seasoned campaigner, who likes it there and is on a fair mark at 12's.

11.35 Turffontein - JACK'S BACK - Bit better on 3rd start, but still lacked a bit of a finish. Calvin Habib has been on each time and keeps the ride today, so hopefully is beginning to figure the horse out at 25's.

1.20 Turffontein - ARTE - Non qualifier for the thread, but comes out well at the weights and can't fathom why he is a s big as 1/2.

3.00 Turffontein - MATTINA - Only threatened on a couple of recent occasions, but the overall from is fair and the handicapper has kindly dropped her to a mark of 58. OK draw and really should be up there at 10's.
 
Sunday 23rd December

11.10 Greyville - JAYDEN'S SHREYA - Exposed, but has the odd piece of form and best career effort was this track. 5 of the 9 runners are outsiders and for me this is the best of the " rags " at 50's.

11.45 Greyville - UNILATERAL - Green on debut and then lost a length on 2nd start. Did however go on to run a nice race that day and can improve again for the step up in trip at 10's.

12.25 Greyville - ROY'S FLASH - Hinted at ability on debut and well drawn at 25's for 2nd start today.

1.40 Greybille - SORCERESS - Needed the run last time, is down to a nice mark and reverts back to sprinting today at 25's.

2.15 Greyville - MISS TWIST - Just her 3rd handicap run and already down to a mark of 60. Slight drop in class as well and top jockey retains the ride, so no forlorn hope at 28's.
 
Christmas Eve

11.10 Fairview - PLAYHOUSE MOUSE and ZABIVAKA - Can't have the FAV at 2's on and looking to get him beat with this pair at 40's and 50's respectively.
 
11.40 Fairview - AMAZON KING and KIMBERLEY STAR - Gone with 2, who could both be better off at the weights, but are still likely to run their races at 20's and 33's respectively.

1.40 Fairview - HORSE HAIZI - Pretty solid lately, but still a bit of " wiggle room " off this mark and should not be faraway at 10's
 
Boxing Day

Starting Early over in SA, with a 9.40am start. No odds up yet, so betting blind in the first 2 races -

9.40 Greyville - FATHER'S FROST and MASTER OF FIRE

10.10 Greyville - CLANCY - Will be shocked if this one is not 50's or more.
 
10.10 Greyville - SOLICITOR GENERAL - Clancy now a NR along with one other, so going with SG in what is now a handy 8 runner event. Has shown promise to date and has been gelded since last race, so happy taking the chance at 25's.
 
12.20 Greyville - BULLETING HOME - Not shown in a while, but capable on a going day and takes a handy drop in the weights. Interesting today back in handicap company at 22's.
 
1.00 Greyville - CAMPHORATUS - Bit to find in this field, but comes here in good form and does have a solid EW chance at 20's.

1.35 Greyville - BURRA BOY - Decent good ground horse, who is nicely weighted and whose recent form all looks fair enough at 14's.

3.20 Down Royal - UJUMPTHELASTUWIN - Nicely bred sort on debut who represents a local yard. Could prove a dark horse at 66's.

3.30 Leopardstown - GOODBYE SOMEDAY - Trainer has a fair record in Bumpers and can get one ready. Fair chance on breeding as well, so happy chancing the 14's.

3.40 Down Royal - AMBER BLUE - Stable 2nd string, but bred to make an impact ( though may want more time ) and don't mind risking the 20's on show.

4.55 Wolverhampton - GHOST BOY - Not fully convinced by those with form and this one is bred nicely and the stable dos pop up occasionally at a price. Just the 8 runners left standing, so definite EW appeal at 16's.
 
10.40 Vaal - STRAW RUM - Comes across from Cape Town, with fair form and makes his debut for a new yard today at 12's.
 
10.40 Vaal - Gone a bit wider for the FC, adding FIRE SIDE (14's ), PETITE AIME ( 40's ) and WILD THOUGHTS ( 100's )
 
12.10 Vaal - IRISH PRIDE - Has a decent pull with the FAV based on 2 runs ago and showed much improved form last time. Capable of going close today at 16's.

2.45 Vaal - BRAVE ZNDAYA - Bit more like it last time and is lurking on a very nice mark at 14's.
 
2.05 Limerick - RIVERDENE - Lightly raced 7yo, who is on h'cap debut today. For me, has shown enough to get involved at 14's.

2.50 Chepstow - MYSTEREE - Too many P's in his form lately, but has in the past appreciated a slog and don't mind chancing this one at 66's.

3.55 Chepstow - WILDE WATER - Nicely bred newcomer at 25's.

5.10 Wolverhampton - ESTRANGED and MIDNITE RENDEZVOUS - Pair of lively " rags " at 33's and 80's respectively.

Bit gutted by the first race with African Rock, beaten the minimum distance. Did not fancy a lot in the 2nd, so playing small stakes and looking for the shock FC / TC -
