total domination of first half by New Zealand , France get an intercepted try to make it 29-10 , then a strange try when Rolland was talking to the prop after a pen , score goes 32-17 with only 5 mins to go , then N.Z. score from the kick off.

poor reffing performance , the only thing that was worse , the itv commentary , do they understand the game , they wrongly identify players

I have had a cut at the RUSSIA +51@ Evns, Bet365. Ireland's team is much changed, 10 changes to the Aussie game. Ireland usually do not hammer anyone, what happens is that they drop down to the level of the opposition. The biggest haul of points they have got against a team in the RWC was in 2003 v Namibia (64 points) The result was 64-7 that day. I can see the Russians racking up a few scores and staying within the 51 points today.

Traeth, where were you when I was beating the bookies up :D, lying in bed with a hangover? whats that they say about the early bird! mind there was alot of sick rugby punters in Ireland this morning, the bookies cleaned up as all had done Ireland -51, but I knew better :).

That cap of +12 for the Scots against England will not be enough IMO.

That Italy v USA game is interesting, will Italy field a slightly weaker team?They will piss all over the Yanks with their B team. Italy play the Irish on the Sunday (2nd October) that will be interesting, they will feel they have a chance against the Irish. Its like this, the Irish were preparing for the Aussie game with the past year......the Italians have been preparing for the Irish game with the past year! and we were very very lucky to beat them in the 6 nations.
 
Namibia have been flogged in the last two weeks - points defeats and a cruel schedule. They must be sick of the sight of a rugby ball.

Pie any idea of the weather there?? (I am not watching it today) Ireland choose to play with the wind in the first half yesterday, which is not the norm. The idea was that they would kill off the Russians in the first half. This worked it was 36-0 at half time. I just see Wales are evens for the -26 cap half time, which looks O.K. Wales will go for the jugular and not leave them get any foothold in the game.

From what I have seen of Welsh rugby against Munster and Leinster in the Heineken Cup, Magner's league I do not believe they have a second team, no offence Traeth, just my opinion :)

I'm glad to see that your opinion of Welsh rugby is based on you watching munnerball , the epitome of scoring tries in the most boring method possible.

I've decided to go with Italy -21 against USA , Mallet , the coach has said the Italian side selected is much stronger in defence than the backline that faced Russia , the worry will be if Italy's stars will be subbed early

LOL I knew you would have a comment on me slagging off Welsh rugby, I do know how serious that is, its probably up there, on par with wiping your ass with the Koran in the middle of Tehran :). Apologies, apologies, ye came good in the second half, and it turned out to be a good day at the office all round.

Well it is a bit strange, he starts off at 3K and works back the way, the rest of us deposit a fraction of that and try to work up the way, come to think of it, he bet on Bohemians in the League of Ireland tonight, Bohs were in with a shout for the title and the opposition were UCD who are at the bottom but are safe to avoid the drop, i.e. they had nothing to play for and had loads of injuries, Bohs were at full strength.....the result? Bohs f'd up, lost 2 - 0, had Yorkie somthing to do with it :lookaround
 
Italy never really break loose and rack up a scoreboard margin but they'll be too strong for the USA. But, they have Ireland on Sunday (13pt underdogs according to Paddy) so the scoreboard might stutter in the last 20. 4 tries Italy, 36-6 stuff. :crossfingers
