2013 - An ODM Odyssey

What's your problem, don't they make one with a connection for an ear trumpet ?

Winner in the 6 o'clock at 11/2, 15 pts profit on the day
 
8 winners (including one dead heat) in the last 8 days at 16/1, 9/1, 10/1, 11/2, 11/1, 16/1, 8/1, 8/1.
Not even bothering calculating profit and loss given that I didn't even post the 16/1 winner in advance but since scrapping the ew and going 10pt win on Thursday there have been 11 races with the two winners at 10/1 and 11/2 which is what I'm aiming for really, an average of 1 winner per day for a profit (Those two returned a profit of 65pts over the two days).

I'd love to have the time to post up the betfair or BOG prices for every race but, as I said, I just don't have the time - even on a Saturday - but I'll try to do so when I can. Otherwise I'll just put up the winning SP.

I'm at a fork in the road at the moment. I've been mostly looking at what I consider to be the more competitive races , ideally with a certain amount of runners. What I'm going to paper test (starting today) is some of the other races with less runners and possibly with shorter priced favourites than usual. I'll post these up but I'll say in advance that I am NOT backing them and am not including them in this particular "system". They are totally outside the scope of this thread and are including just for (my) information only.
I'm going to look at every single race and that alone almost certainly rules out the possibility of making a profit on these kind of races. I'll mark these in red to differentiate them from my picks.

King Bertie one for the notebook. Didn't corner very well but came home with a rattling finish to be beaten by a very very short margin. First time out - will learn from that and will win a race shortly with the money down late today indicating that connections have confidence it it.

I'm not moaning about the decision to change from ew betting because I think that it will pay off long term - just saying my losses would have been decreased yesterday but you get those days

Great Demeanor won at 7/4 - took 5/2
Heath Hunter won 2/1

140pts staked and only 65 returned, so a whacking 75pt loss on the day, so 10pts down over the last three days.
