... next in prem with sky bet -anyone know why this should be?

I've laid it on betfair (bigger price obvs ) because I just can't believe they would be so stupid but it's all a bit strange .

Punter?

Punter saw it coming, he was tipping Rogers to be next to go at 8/1 in the weekend thread.

He has to be a contender, a worthy favourite. 3 seasons without a trophy and a poor start to his 4th season.

Away to Bordeaux in Europe on Thursday and home to Norwich on Sunday. I dont expect us to win any of those two games.

His days are surely numbered.

This didn't post earlier.

Nah, can't see it happening after all the time money and propaganda they've invested in the bloke - Liverpool and the fans have been raving about what a great genius he is since the got him and to sack him - especially this early in the season would make them a laughing stock .

I'd stick my neck out and say it's not hPpening - in face I'm going to lay some more at 2/1

I have to say that Rodgers doesn't pick the signings outright, any players that are bought are picked by a transfer committee ( a fucking stupid way of doing things imo). He has a say in them but i'd like to bet he has no idea who the club is trying to prioritize from one transfer window to the other.

I'll also add that i dont know one Liverpool fan that thinks he's a great genius and that we have been a laughing stock for quite some time now lol.

Who do you think is likely to get sacked before him btw?

That's the beauty of a lay bet, you don't have to pick a winner, just one not to lose but didn't Advocaat have to have his arm twisted up his back to take charge of Sunderland for this season? I'd say he's got more chance of going than BR. What about The Chosen One? He's hardly the most stable of people and neither is his boss - either of those could decide that it's time to part ways at any time. Talking of unstable, back in the north east, Mike Ashley is a complete cock and Steve Mclaren is a serial job-loser (oh, and they happen to be bottom of the table).

There's three better candidates - not bad for a 2/1 lay in a market that is driven by rumour and opinion. Two wins and Rodgers could be out to five or six to one in a week.

Just looked again and it's traded as low as 1.8 today - wish I'd seen that fucker, I'd have chucked another couple of hundred quid at it.

Fair shout.

I hope you win your bet but i'm sure Brendan will be gone soon enough. He might not go next but it's not far away.

"Sacked in the morning, ya getting sacked in the morning"...

Sherwood may be worth looking at.

A loss to Stoke would leave Villa on only 4 pts from 8 games with a 2 week gap to some tough looking games ahead

He has said a lot of things at the end of last season about Villa not being involved in relegation battles in future whilst he is in charge - but - Villa are deep in the mire.

How patient will the board be with him?

Good point - I've started my annual laying if Villa relegation early this year but you have to say he's not exactly inspiring any confidence (not that I've ever rated him as a manager anyway )

It's embarrassing how far out of his depth Sherwood is.

£50 million spent in the summer and we are deep in the bottom 3 - having been just outplayed by the team who were 4th bottom

Hope you're right, Colbro - I've had 20p matched on Sherwood to be next manager to go at 1000 on betfair

Obviously it's all down to Advocaat staying or going at Sunderland, I've layed him as low as 1.1 too so :crossfingers

I also got small amounts on at 1000 on Pulis and McClaren and Mourinho at 500 - think a bot was going a bit mental. If Advocaat decides to stay those odds will look even more massive then they do now.

Rogers away. If their game v Everton had been the late kick off yesterday then he'd probably have been the first to go.

Who now ?

ffs man, could Advocaat not have waited a few hours, like? :banghead
