Dr K has just tweeted, that Salford Red Devils are to waive admission charges for their Friday game with Catalans in exchange for donations to the Manchester fund. Opinions about the guy amongst Rugby League fans have always been mixed, but I have always respected the fact that he speaks his mind and this plus a recent 5K donation to the Steve Prescott fund show him to be pretty classy.

I like Koucash too, he calls a spade a spade and wears his heart on his sleeve, I just wish the takeover at Salford would have turned out better for him fan wise but you can't flog a dead horse, Salford is a footballing City for as long as I've been born and won't change.
I see the old B&W photos of a packed out Willows and Wembley when Salford were there from donkeys years ago but those days have long gone and won't come back.

Be interesting to see how many go even with free admission, I'll be very surprised if they pull in more than 3K.
