Colchester were the stand out bet this weekend in a very very dry weekend for football league value

They got a new manager a week or so ago and won both games since he took over, as soon as he came in he took at least 3 players in on loan as I recall including Eastmond and Watt from Arsenal who are two very athletic players, especially the latter. Ibhere they got on loan up front also who has 3 goals in 2 games I think.

Yeovil lost 5 on the bounce or something like that and their manager Gary Johnson said before the last game (which they lost) he is going to change the whole team because of the shocking performances, not sure where he's at with that now.

I dont get too scientific, they were 21/10 yesterday, theyre best priced 19/10 now and I think on saturday they will be about 7/4.

I agree; not much value around that I can find.

Oxford's injury problems are being well publicised and Gillingham's price has fallen to only marginal value as a result. However, I think there's still a little in Hills' 4/5 DNB and I've had a clouple of units.

Hi guys, newbie so go easy...

Portsmouth are too big @ 13/2 (Bet365 & Victor Chandler). They won away at Yeovil midweek, with new signing Akos Buzaky sat on the bench for the full game. I know he is getting on a bit, but he could be the stand out player in this league.

MK Dons have not been pulling up any trees so far and could be missing Ryan Lowe.

Pompey for me.

Yeah I definitely agree with you here, I wish i snapped up the 7/1 about before, it really is far too big a price, pompey are quite decent

Good luck Mrbluejay and welcome :thumb

I've got to be honest i cant go anywhere near Pompey any weekend at present, with their situation as things are, things can change so quickly but i hope you bang that one in @ 13/2

Good luck to you too Chris :thumb

Hi and welcome mrbluejay, is that Bill Werbeniuk in your avatar? if so they don't make em like him anymore, what a character he was.

Good to see you again too Chris, I hope life and Keema are treating you well m8.

I agree that 13-2 is a fair bet but I prefer the 21 on bet fair for 0-1.

MK Dons have in fact been playing pretty well-scoring goals is the problem. They had something like 20 shots(from memory) on goal at walsall(and thats "ODM" shots).

However Im pretty sure that they lost at least twice by that score at home to mediocre teams last seasons...thus 21 is a no brainer to me...as is the 50s for 0-2...........

Yes it is Big Bill, when there were characters in sport. Mind you, does it count as a sport if, as you could then, smoke and drink whilst competing !

I'd say it was a sport mbj as is darts imo, I draw the line at dominoes mind.
I suppose I can understand the clamp down on the smoking and drinking but it came at a cost because snooker has become dull as ever, saying that it's not done darts much harm as it still has it's fair share of characters.

Yes it's definitely a sport and as you say the characters have gone from snooker.

Couple of units on under 2.5 at Wycombe. I think all Wycvombe's homes and Torquay's aways have been ubder 2.5, so in theory Bet365's 4/5 should give a biit of value. Wycombe are pretty blunt up front, while Torquay are particularly cautious on their travels.

Vey speculative half unit on 0-0 at Aldershot at the general 9/1. We have only been playing one up front and two holding midfielders even at home, while Chesterfield don't seem particularly effective going forward.

Also a lightly less speciulative 1.5 units on under 2.5 at 3/4.

Three units on Northampton DNB at the general 5/4. Bristol Rovers are a bit hit and miss, but have yet to win at home this season. Northampton aren't particularly great, but I do think they have a better chance of winniong than some bookies. Both sides have injury problems.

If he starts, a couple of units on Almond to score against Rochdale at B365's standout 7/4. Rochdale concede regulaarly, and have the worst away defence in the top half. Padraig Almond has scored in five of his ten games, and I'd be nearer the shorter prices otherr bookies go with.

Bloody Hell,Portsmouth 2-0 up already!

I need a sending off,pronto:unsure

Awful day for me. Lost on the matches, anteposts suffered, and Aldershot drop into the bottom two :cry

well,as the saying goes,"unlucky at "cards",lucky at love":unsure

dunno what Mrs Thundercelt will have to say about that-did she like your book btw TC?

No. She doesn't like either erotoca or horror. She didn't even know my first book was dedicated to her for six months because she refused to pick it up. :hissyfit

And a question for rcgills. With Aldershot being awful at the moment is there any reason from the Gillingham viewpoint not to back the Gills against us next week?
