I might take a look at spread betting later on, i know you can set max losses (though i know it reduces your max profit by doing this).

Don't get your panties in a twist mate. No bet for me. For what it's worth, my prices were in line with the bookies prices early doors with Everton being around evens and Newcastle around the 9/2 mark. Since then, it appears (and I haven't been watching skysports so I'm only going on what I've just read) that Newcastle have injury problems in defence. With Everton halving in price to 1/2 and Newcastle drifting out there has been the usual knee-jerk reaction which, as usual, I've chosen to ignore.

I'm laying Everton to score the first goal at 1.51.

Ok so Newcastle are lacking in defence so Everton should win...but Ive had to do some correct scores on betfair...1-0 Newcastle 24 is just wrong...and as for 50-1 0-2.......
 
also got the inevitable 0-0 and 1-1...

so 3-0 it is then....Ive got toffees in the market wout the Big 6 innit

Looks like it was no mistake after all.
 
Well,if you mean that Everton should have won then,from what I heard on 5 live,I agree.

But then thats why I usually bet on outsiders in football matches-if luck turns out to be the deciding factor theres a good chance itll be in your favour and thats great at big odds.

And,of course,luck plays a part in many games.

In no other sport does the team who plays worse get a result so often.

I agree - that's why football betting is so damn difficult.
 
That's because football usually has three realistic outcomes whereas in many games there are only two and in most other games where the draw is feasibly possible, the higher scoring or method of scoring makes the draw less likely. Rugby, cricket, basketball, even hockey and ice hockey. if uv got a game where only one "score/goal" can decide the outcome because it's so low scoring, ur always susceptible to lady luck having a part in that goal and therefore the result.
 
Well next year when goal line technology is in place (it is next yeat ain't it) the percentage of luck should drop a tad.
saying that who's to say had Evertons goal stood Newcastle wouldn't have gone on to get an equaliser anyhow.
