Eurovision 2018 Betting

Czech Republic : Mikolas Josef - Lie to Me.

Looks like the cheeky bleeders are trying to compete with us to finish last.

Denmark: Rasmussen - Higher Ground.

When Highlander meets Riverdance without the steps.

Just realised Samoan has France as favourite, I must be tone death lol.

Just goes to show how music is in the ear of the beholder so to speak, I thought it sounded bleeding dreadfull yet it's one of the favourites.

It it worth me carrying on:eek:

Australia: Jessica Mauboy - We Got Love.

I think Eurovision would love to go to Aus to revive the comp.
Not a great song and usual Euro fare with the base drums but nobody would bat an eyelid if it won because it's the stereotypical Euro winner.

I'm going to have a dabble on this because without trying to sound like a conspirator, it does tick all the boxes.

@ 50/1 bet365, I'm going £5 E/W because I have an account, otherwise 66/1 at Sportingbet for best odds.

Moldova: DoReDos - My Lucky Day

Nice happy song but the accoustics sounds naff, visuals are good though and if they sort the sound out on the night could do well.

before my ears start bleeding I'll have a listen to the rest tomorrow.

Sweden: Benjamin Ingrosso - Dance You Off.

I like this, Fresh and Bieberish, could snatch the young vote.
Best I've heard so far even though I was harping on about the Aussies at the time because the comps bent.

This has quality all over it and if the comp was based on an even keel, this would top my list.

Hungary: AWS - Viszlát Nyár.

Why the fcuk Bother when you're tone deaf, now my ears are bleeding.

Israel: Netta Barzilai - TOY.

It's different I'll give her that and I can see this being a dance hit with it's own particular moves lol.
Scrap my Aussie tip as I can see this winning by a country mile on it's own merit.
I should have listened to them all first before passing judgement ( says he with 3 songs to go lol)
I was looking for originality and this has passed with flying colours.

Holland: Waylon - Outlaw in ‘Em.

Can't ever recall Country and Western or Rock and Roll winning the Euro's and don't see this breaking norm.
Song is to region specific and on the wrong side of the Atlantic to get anywhere Imo.

Ireland: Ryan O’Shaughnessy. - Together.

Ireland going back to what it does best and singing a lovely Ballad, they're the best in the business at it and if Europe is in a Ballad mood they should have it wrapped up but since the introduction of Eastern Europe I doubt that side will appreciate it hence Ireland will do well to make the top 5 even though the song deserves more.

Cyprus: Eleni Foureira. - Fuego.

First impressions are it sounds like Rhiannas 'diamonds' (another rip).
Doesn't quite hit the heights of Rhianna though and I'm surprised to see it installed as favourite because everything about the song has been done before a lot better by other artists.

Italy: Ermal Meta and Fabrizio Moro. - Non mi avete fatto niente’

Italy singing about War and images of War graves doesn't quite wash does it not to mention the song is shite, another that will run us close for the wooden spoon.

No good trying to pull on the heart strings when no cnut knows what you're talking about.

looks like i've hit the end thank fcuk.

Need browse quickly over them again to put them in favourable order but The Israeli song stands out by a country mile as my favourite, it's just a matter of rearranging the rest.

Spain with Fred and Ami.
I know this tune, they've ripped it from somewhere but I can't put my finger on it.
I'll have a bit of that, very catchy and will do well, especially in Lisbon.
I'll add this to m y shortlist to listen to again later.

Half of Spain (at a conservative guess) hates this pair (them, not necessarily the song) :lol

They're in favour of Catalans being able to vote for independence, which is a bit of a thorny issue over here. A few weeks ago over here it was Book Day, and there were photos of him giving her a book called España de Mierda (Shitty Spain). Reading comments from some of the more rational posters online (rational people sadly becoming increasingly rare these days), it seems the book is actually very much tongue in cheek, and is not in any way a criticism of Spain. But of course that doesn't stop the more rabid posters from calling them all the names under the sun and hoping they die a slow and painful death/come last in Eurovision (delete as applicable).

Don't like this year's UK song at all. Cheesy lyrics, and don't think she's a particularly good singer.

Time for a yearly bet going to read this thread and make some picks cheers for doing the reviews of the songs

Ok took Ireland @ 11.0 blacktype, they cut the price immediately after. Also took Israel @ 4.5 on the exchanges.
