BTW, I strongly suggest it is only the brave who will be prepared to bet on a drawn game.
I don't recommend it and almost certainly not do so until perhaps the later stages [semis]
 
Jeez, Newman, it's like trying to interview a politician here :lol There are two simple questions above, and instead of just answering the questions directly, you go off on a tangent about the spreadsheet (which is pretty ambiguous) and the letters used in the columns.

Question no. 1:

If you want to back a draw, do you have to specify your predicted winner and stake for the replay at the same time?

A simple "Yes" or "No" is all that's needed. Even if you don't know how it's done in the original competition, it doesn't really matter, you're in charge, just decide what you prefer and go with it. It just needs to be clarified so that everyone knows how it works before the competition starts.

Question no.2 (only relevant if the answer to question no. 1 is "yes"):

What happens to your stake for the replay if the original match doesn't end as a draw? Is it refunded, or lost along with the stake on the original match?

Again, it doesn't really matter how it's done in the original comp, all that matters is how you plan to do it here in this comp.

I added to my original post and posted at same time as yours.
Q1 YES
Q2 Player cannot lose money on 2nd game if 1st game doesn't end up in draw.

I think you've answered my query with the above but, just to check, your post above suggests that if I go for 50pts on a draw in the alfreton fleetwood game with 200 staked on fleetwood to win the replay and the first game is drawn but fleetwood go through on penalties, would make 250 points, even though fleetwood only drew both games in 90 minutes. Is that right.

Just a yes will do by the way :lol

It's a good question. Do you HAVE to make a stake for the replay if you go for the draw. If you do go for the draw surely you have to stipulate the winner of the replay before the game.
