I'll stick this in here as can't see much point starting a new thread for it. No idea how Gills are even money favourites tonight at Newport. Won at the weekend for a first win in 14 matches (a 1-0 win with a deflected effort at home to 2nd from bottom Morecambe), and although performances have been improving recently, we're still absolutely toothless up front (our 7 strikers have the grand total of 4 goals in 54 starts between them this season).
Newport aren't going a great deal better, a couple of places above us. But so far this season they've played 5 of the 8 sides below them in the table, and have a 100% winning record in those games (including 3 in the last month or so - Barrow, Morecambe and Carlisle). They're also very much a bogey side for the Gills - since ending up in the same division three years ago (for the first time in over 30 years), they've done the double over us the past 2 seasons, and have already won at our place this season, so they've beaten us 5 times now in the past 2 and a half seasons.
3.75 on Newport looks huge
