View attachment 99 Massive news broke today announcing Anggun as France's representative for Baku. Anggun is a massive world artist and this surely signals France's desire to win Eurovision 2012. Anggun also has a new album due for release later this year called, Echoes.

Here are some of Anggun's more recognisable hits and collaborations, all of which are among my favourites.

This is my favourite Anggun track. Sophisticated, laid back and wonderfully refined.

New album

Now for the caveat, Anggun's style won't win Eurovision for France. She will need to recreate the mood and sophistication of 'Summer in Paris' or sensual warmth of 'Snow on the Sahara' to stand any chance.

Here's to hoping!

Well I was referring to this year's French entrant Amaury Vassili, who was the bookies' favourite until the money poured into Jedward after they appeared at rehearsals in Max Wall pants and Napoleon's boots, the contest being won by Ell and new North London housewife Nikki, then Jedward decided to enter again in 2012..oh I'm off for a lie down..

don't really care about what language she sings in... she's smokin' hot. i'm on her... well i wish i was...

:wank

I actually like this. Hmmm, I think this could be one of their best efforts in years. Lovely overall sound on this, interesting, well produced, quirky song, catchy. Ja man. I’m scribbling this down.

I’m getting a similar feel as I did to Germany/Lena couple of years ago. Fresh n funky and very listenable on repeat.

It reminds me too much of Just The Way You Are,and do I still detect the toxic shadow of Lena still hovering over the proceedings for the third year in a row..

Certainly not live! I can hear computers. Nevertheless, her vocal will be fine. I'm more intrigued as to what they're going to complement her with on stage come the finals.

The similarity to Lena for me though is much more in the "feel" of it being something standing out a bit as fresh and interesting even though it's a pretty standard pop song. It's even reminding me of a Madonna song from a few years ago which I can't remember the name of. I think the girlies should enjoy this anyway. Meeeeee.

:lol It's more girly style I thought Gavoxters. She looks a bit like Myleene Klass though. HUBBA HUBBA.

this girl could sing the telephone directory and i'd stand to attention... ahem... she has great stage presence. and joking apart i'm liking the song too. france deserve some luck after last year's non-event. in a fair world this would be a contender, but if anything france has less friends than us.
