Pick 5 teams per weekend. Win bets only. Matches must kick off and end between 18.00 Friday night and midnight Monday (UK time). Selections must however be posted no later than midday on Sunday (UK time).

Points will be scored for each match as per the profit you would have made from a £1 single bet. 5 winning selections means that your total score is doubled

All odds must be taken from and winners will be settled at the prices posted at the head of the weekly post, regardless of any price fluctuations.

There is no lower limit to the odds that you can pick but you may like to bear in mind that, for scoring purposes, you DO NOT receive your point stake back. At the other end of the scale, you can choose teams at any price BUT, the maximum points that you can score from any individual game is 6 (to be doubled as normal, should you get 5 out of 5 selections correct).

Matches can be from any league, however, if the match is not listed in the odds posted at the top of the weekly thread, you must stipulate which country and league the game is in and you must post a screencap of the odds (taken from Bet365).

If you fail to post both the home and away team, and your selection is not a top league game in England, Spain or Germany, you run the risk of your selection being classed as void when our adjudicators become bored of scouring the internet looking for the result. It may be obvious to you, but to avoid argument later, the onus is on you to take the extra 15 seconds to type the home team the away team and the relevant country and league.

Where a player mistakenly puts down two teams who are not playing each other that weekend, the selection will be void unless clarified before the cut off time, regardless of whether the odds appear to suggest that they intended to select a different game.

Any selection that you have made which is subsequently postponed can be replaced before the end of the weekend. If you are not able to post a replacement selection before the end of the weekend you will normally be allowed an extra selection the following week. However, please note that should you be in contention for a five-fold, any replacement pick must be to at least the same odds as the postponed selection. Should you nonetheless wish to post a replacement at lower odds than the postponed selection, you will no longer be eligible for the double points in the event of achieving the 5-fold.

NO EDITING OF POSTS AT ANY TIME. If you make a mistake, please add another post underneath to point out any errors or amendments. Posts containing edits may be classed as void.

Coming up to Christmas with tons of games throughout the week.
There is a full league programme on WEDNESDAY 26th December.
Obviously all of us will be busy during festive period and a bit of prior preparation needed to enter forecasts.
My question:
Will Boxing Day games be included in competition and if so which week?

Christmas Eve is a Monday, any games that day will be included with the previous weekend (in this case the 22nd/23rd), the same as any other Monday games.

I stand to be corrected on this, but I'm pretty sure we don't normally do midweek fixtures, even if it is a full programme like Boxing Day.

I don't think we do but then again, Boxing Day usually falls close to the normal weekend fixtures wheras this year there will be a full programme on the Wednesday so it would probably not be too much of a big deal to include that day's fixtures (some people might appreciate having something to take their mind of Xmas during their time off from work:lol).

Any other day but Wednesday and I'd say it's too close to the other fixtures but there's no reason not to do it this year. Perhaps we should vote on it. I'm easy either way but I do like to have something at stake on a match day and for me, this comp just adds to the interest in the games so I'd probably vote yes.

I vote NO.
Too many games and too much going on outside Betnod.
Sorry.

ps Apologies RC. I wrote Christmas Eve when in actual fact I meant Boxing Day.
Have amended original post.

I'm not fussed either way.

Although Newman, I'm not sure how you can say there are too many games when there are fewer games on Boxing Day than on a normal weekend (same number of games in the UK, but most foreign leagues won't be playing) :thinking

46 Football League plus non-league matches on day.
Most predictions are on English games with, I admit, many dipping in abroad for the Joker match to improve their score.
I don't know anything about teams outside England so never go there.
