Goofy little racist banned for 8 games

No doubt there'll be a big hoo-ha after racist AlanHansen said 'coloured players' on MOTD.

:lookaround

Alan Hansen has apologised. This morning he said: "I unreservedly apologise for any offence caused. This was never my intention and I deeply regret the use of the word."

ffs :embarassed

You can't call them black, you can't call them coloured....

I hope none of them ever call me white as I'm going straight to the media.

When i was brought up i was told that to call them coloured was racist and to call them black instead as black people preferred that, this was 15 years ago so what do i teach little ones to say? Seems every word is banned now

I went to a RC school in mid 1970's and every Friday we had a collection for the "black babies"

This was heralded through the week by Miss Wheatley - "Don't forget the black babies"..

Point is that language evolves and use of it, but actions still the same, My kids are in an RC school and still collect for the "black babies" but it is now called SCIAF.

Players will find other ways to abuse (wind-up?) each other on the pitch as this is part of the game.

If we miked players there would be a national outcry about the abuse they direct at each other.

INDUSTRIAL LANGUAGE ??

If one of them ever celebrates a goal with the sign of a cross its gonna go off innit :unsure

'Toxteth Burning' starring Willem Dafoe & Gene Hackman

.....waddya mean it already has :thinking

Quote here from what was actually said (according to Evra that is) taken from the FA website, if this is true then he has no hope in his appeal I reckon..

The FA's case, in short, was as follows. In the goalmouth, Mr Evra and Mr Suarez spoke to

each other in Spanish. Mr Evra asked Mr Suarez why he had kicked him, referring to the

foul five minutes previously. Mr Suarez replied "Porque tu eres negro", meaning "Because

you are black". Mr Evra then said to Mr Suarez “say it to me again, I’m going to punch

you”. Mr Suarez replied "No hablo con los negros", meaning "I don't speak to blacks". Mr

Evra continued by saying that he now thought he was going to punch Mr Suarez. Mr

Suarez replied "Dale, negro, negro, negro", which meant "okay, blackie, blackie, blackie".

As Mr Suarez said this, he reached out to touch Mr Evra's arm, gesturing at his skin. Mr

Kuyt then intervened. When the referee blew his whistle and called the players over to

him shortly after the exchanges in the goalmouth, Mr Evra said to the referee "ref, ref, he

just called me a fucking black".

The whole report can be found here..

And here's the suarez version of events..

Mr Suarez denied the Charge. His case, in short, was as follows. He agreed with Mr Evra

that they spoke to each other in Spanish in the goalmouth. When Mr Evra asked why he

had kicked him, Mr Suarez replied that it was a normal foul and shrugged his shoulders.

Mr Evra then said that he was going to kick Mr Suarez, to which Mr Suarez told him to

shut up. As Mr Kuyt was approaching, Mr Suarez touched Mr Evra's left arm in a

pinching style movement. According to Mr Suarez, at no point in the goalmouth did he

use the word "negro". When the referee blew his whistle to stop play, Mr Evra spoke to Mr

Suarez and said (in English) "Don't touch me, South American". Mr Suarez replied "Por

que, negro?". He says that he used the word “negro” in a way with which he was familiar

from his upbringing in Uruguay. In this sense, Mr Suarez claimed, it is used as a noun and

as a friendly form of address to people seen as black or brown-skinned (or even just blackhaired).

Thus, it meant "Why, black?" Mr Suarez maintained that when he said "Por que,

negro?" to Mr Evra, it was intended in a conciliatory and friendly way.

Mr Suarez said this

was the only time that he used the word “negro” in his exchanges with Mr Evra during

the match.

And how much can the Liverpool defense continue?

Watching the announcement on Sky Sports News, the reporter made reference to the FA interpretation of each player's evidence. Of Suarez, the FA said his evidence was inconsistent.

i've just been reading it and he does vary it , whether intentioanlly or not i don't known as he changes his version of events after seeing the footage over again, maybe it just jogged his memory because at the time he was concentratinng on the match not expecting to be hauled before the Fa.
I'll read it more over the next few days as i need to get ready and thats hell of a long read.

It looks like he's fucked and set for a spell on the sidelines for sure now.

From LFC Website
The Club can confirm that they received the written reasons from the Regulatory Commission at short notice last night on the evening of the game against Newcastle United.

The player, the Club and our legal advisors will now take the necessary amount of time to read, digest and properly consider the contents of the 115 page judgment and will make no further comment at present.

About fucking time they engaged their brains for once before opening their traps! :lol

I'm not sure they're aware who's running the game in this country.

what makes them think that they're above the FA .

they used to be good, now theyre just delusional

And there we have it, a low-key admission that Liverpool got the situation and public mood totally wrong. They have decided not to appeal Suarez's 8-match ban for blatant derogatory racist comments to Patrice Evra.

Any chance of an apology from Dalglish or the club for their conduct during the saga should probably be offered at about 2500/1.

I take it he won't be playing tonight then?
:rubhands

Nope, they had to appeal for him to play tonight I believe.

Liverpool will miss the diving little cheating goofy twat that's for sure.
