Sunday ..and the bet today is NICE to win at home to VALLENCE .
That has been the outcome in this fixture in 6 of the last 7 corresponding meetings , indeed VALLENCE find it hard to even score a goal at NICE with only netting twice [in the same game] in those 7 fixtures whilst conceding 15 .
NICE are in mid-table [10th] but 8 places above VALLENCE and have won 1 and drawn 1 at home .
VALLENCE are proving to be dodgy away from home this season , losing to BASTIA [8th] and LORIENT [14th].
Further strength is given NICE after reading this preview from another Tipster i respect -
Nice – Valenciennes
There are no new problems for Nice here. Midfielder Mahamane Traore and winger Valentin Eysseric are still injured, but there are no other absences of note. Valenciennes’ situation has also improved recently. A few weeks ago they had loads of players in their infirmary, but now a number of players are fit again. The only real two notable players ruled out here are defender Loris Nery and attacker Bahebeck. The latter has been missed because he started the season with some real energy. Good news for VA is that key striker Gregory Pujol is back fit again, although how long until the next injury hits him remains to be seen.
This will be the first ever match played at Nice’s new stadium, the Allianz Riviera. Obviously, this is a massive occasion for the club and all of their players will be exceptionally motivated to perform well and get victory. They might not need to break too much sweat to get all 3 points though because Valenciennes are a pretty awful team at the moment. They have followed up an opening day win against Toulouse with 4 consecutive defeats and clearly they have plenty of issues at the moment. They can’t score goals, they can’t keep clean sheets and not much seems to be going their way. A few players are still trying to integrate into the squad too which is taking some time. There are plenty of factors in Nice’s favour ahead of this game and I expect them to claim all 3 points comfortably. Last year, this fixture ended 5-0 and I couldn’t rule out a similar scoreline. Nice look to be in a decent rhythm right now, their win at Lille last week proves this. They have too much class and quality for VA and I have no hesitation in backing them -0.75.
I think the odds on offer are sound and as the thread is in decent health i'm upping the initial satke to 15pts pts which will be going onto NICE @ 1.80 [Wm Hill]
