Here Goes Nothing

Understood.

Its looking like I would have to read your original thread in order to understand what was said in oder to get you to post these in the first place bearing in mind that these aren't your main source of income...

Then again,I think I may be able to hazard a guess...based on your first sentennce,"Damned if you do...."

Regardless,I will still be following avidly

Good Luck

@Traeth,So you suffered the Wolves too huh. Did you see the same therapist as me when you stint at Molineux was over ?

It prepared me for my following of Welsh national international sides , both football and rugby , the rare rugby success can lead to some special celebrations and my expectations are never high.

good luck with your "system" .

One of your initial comments about tipping teams @ 1.8 struck a chord with me as I've noticed the success rate and have been considering a system of backing teams that are priced @ 1.8 on the Asian Handicap -1 which bumps the price up to about 2.4. This system requires a bit more investigation and time.

Basketball post you say ? This going to sound lame but lets just say i post elsewhere and i'm under an agreement not to post those anywhere else. Not all mind only the best. So after this 4 week period i will put some up, possibly with analysis.

A few questions, if I may -

1) how do you continue to make good profits without having your stakes restricted?

2) are you paid to post your tips on the 'other place'? If not, then how do you benefit from the 'agreement'? If you don't benefit, then nothing is stopping you from posting them on here.

3) if you are not paid to post your tips on the 'other place', then why do you do it? Pure, lovely altruism or the need for recognition, idolisation and praise? Or an ulterior motive (not that you'd admit that, of course)?

Answer to Seen

1 - Pinnacle don't restrict. Nor do they close down winning accounts. They even advertise the fact. Occasionally use Betfair & Betdaq. Unhappy with Betfairs latest commission rates and Betdaq a bit limited in terms of markets and customer base
2 - No i don't get paid but am currently proofing.
3 - I admit to all 4 options provided.Ulterior motive...No.

Don't suppose it occurs to you that i actually like to help people ?

I was waiting for that, took you longer than i expected.
It's personal and i would rather not say. Maybe the following statement might put your mind at ease,

If i ever post any link to any site, weather it be my own (I don't have one BTW) or belong to a 3rd party that request payment for any information i offer regarding anything, then i wish the link to be removed instantly and myself to receive a lifetime ban from this site and it's affiliates
If i ever request or suggest payment for a sports tips to any member of this site and or it's affiliates then i request a life time ban with the additional punishment having to watch all Birmingham cities games for the next 10 years.

Anything else you would like me to add ?

I don't really care if you post links (I'll leave that to the moderators), it's just there seems to be a contradiction in what you say (you like helping people) and what you do (proofing your tips on another site, presumably in the desperate hope that you have a good run and people subsequently start sending you money once your proofing period is over).

Crikey mate, you have suspicious mind and somewhat of a conspiracy theorist. You assume that i'm proofing in the hope someone will buy my tips. Funny that because they ain't made public. There are more than one reason why you proof.
You assume that i'm desperate for a good run and presumably desperate for money. Neither is correct. I absolutely do not claim that i am any better than anyone else. What makes me different from most punters is that i know my average S/R by country, by sport and by League I know my average ROI weekly, monthly and yearly. I know what my average profits are and based on my past records i can even project my profits for the next 6 months.
Then theirs 3 golden rules that your average punter do not live by.
1 - Discipline. I treat it as a business. I am methodical and am constantly reviewing what i do. I do not chase losses.
2 - Bankroll Management. I bet 2% of my bank regardless of price. I bet level stakes and do not engage in progressive staking.I do not rate my selections and put X amount extra because one is rated higher than the other. If i selected it it's because i believe it will win.
3 - Believe - I have faith in my selection method. I do not panic when i have a losing streak. I do not meddle with the way i select because i'm down a 100 or so points.

I am neither suspicious nor a conspiracy theorist - it was just a bit confusing as to why you appeared to be contradicting yourself. Now you've explained it....oh, wait, you haven't have you? :lookaround

I absolutely do not claim that i am any better than anyone else. What makes me different from most punters is...

Isn't that another contradiction? You say you're no better than anyone else and then proceed to tell us how you are better than most punters :duh

Now i know you're a wind up merchant. Since when did different mean better ?

Well, you're saying you're making money while most others are losing, so obviously you think (correctly) that you are better.

I was referring to selecting winners. I do not think i'm better than anyone else but how i handle them is different as outlined in the earlier post.

There's nothing wrong with saying you're better than most punters, it doesn't make you arrogant. Having good discipline and strict staking plan etc is useless unless your selections are profitable - and as the majority of punters are incapable of making profitable selections, then you must be better than them - and you know it!

Congrats, this has kept me up to sunrise. Haven't done that in a while.
I'm a firm believer that no one is better than any body else. It's the socialist in me. I'm nothing special. I've lost thousands over the years following the horses. it took me a few more grand to get the sports betting right. If i admit anything, it's that i learnt from my mistakes.
I read Yorkies thread the other day. The one where he bet on anything and everything. It reminded me of myself 20 years ago.

I'm a firm believer that no one is better than any body else.

A gracious statement, but ultimately wrong. There's no way I'm not better than Yorkie, like

Damn, hell be asleep now and so Ive got to wait 8 hours for the answer to that cliffhangar:frown

No you won't. I'm up so i figured i just watch some basketball. Wish i had'nt.!
I think i can prove him wrong. Here's some questions Seen then tell me who's better.
Out of the you and Yorkie,
1 - Who is better at losing ?
2 - Who is best at getting confused where they live ?
3 - Who is best at losing count at how many kids they have and their sexes ?

Apologies Yorkie for having a laugh at your expense but i know you can take it. I personally think you can be a good punter if only you slowed down.

I suspect yorkied be better in bed to boot

think I read once that people from the north east are crap in bed(The Star circa 1985)
