2.35 Fairview - CHESTNUT WILD - Had an early look and no prices up, but expecting this one to be about the 25/1 mark. Is back off a short break, but has gone well after a similar break in the past and makes his stable debut here. Plenty to find officially, but definitely one that can out - run his price.

3.30 Greyville - FIRST MATE - Evening meeting over in SA and this one is on the Poly and under the floodlights. This one is another back off a break, but has shown ability and makes his debut on the surface here. Good young jockey takes a handy 3lb off and enough slight questions should make him a 16 - 20/1 shot.

3.55 Limerick - OUR ELLA BELLA - Does need to improve plenty for debut run, but nicely bred and the stable does OK in this sphere. Possible improver at 50's.

3.10 Doncaster - ST GEORGE'S OVAL and MANY TALES - Going with a couple of horses who showed ability on debut, but who will need more this company. Do feel both are well enough bred to make that leap forwards and happy going in EW on the pair at 25's and 50's respectively.

5.30 Dundalk - FORLAN - Nicely related newcomer at 14's

7.00 Dundalk - MAX VELOCITY - Pretty decent debut and possible improver at 8's

8.00 Dundalk - SLANEY STREET - Last time out was a poor effort, with no real explanation for it. Focusing rather on several good efforts before that and does have a decent polytrack record. Hopefully will bounce back at 25's

4.05 Greyville - MR ROY and MARSHALL THAT - MR is a track specialist with smart recent form and he should again be competitive despite a big weight. MT continues to drop in the merit ratings and he should be finishing well at 20's getting weight all round.

4.35 Greyville - GOLDEN MINARET - Lightly raced, has hinted at ability and would have needed his last run. Said last run did at least confirm he goes on the surface and feel this one is capable of better at 20's.

5.05 Greyville - WHITEWATER RAPIDS and BASE RUNNER - WR has his trip and takes a few runs to get going, so should be fully fit on 4th run back. Decent draw and should go close at 10's. BR's middle run from 3 to date reads well, but the other 2 don't inspire. Big chance on that best run however and another that is 10's.

5.35 Greyville - COME ON SONNY and PROFIT RATIO - COS has the plum draw for polytrack debut and every chance at 12's if effective on the surface. PR has plenty of ability, but is back off a break and has top weight. Tough task therefore, but not sure he should be 20's.

6.05 Greyville - SON OF SILVER and SIYAKWAMUKELA - Neither exactly blessed by the draw, but both are capable at this level and both run the track well. 12's and 20's respectively a bit big on both counts and a big run from one / both would not shock.

6.35 Greyville - BRIDAL VEIL - Winner on 2nd start, not so good next, but better than the bare form suggests last time ( 8th, but not beaten far ) Back up to 7f today and for me this looks ideal at 11's.

CW outpaced throughout and a minor miracle that he beat any home.
FM a frustrating 4th at 25's
No real leap forward from OEB in 7th, but did go off 25's

SGO a Non Runner and MT was going OK 2 out. Looked a bit one paced however and ended up 6th at 66's

MARSHALL THAT won under a fine front running ride. MR a touch disappointing

Racing has been delayed over in Greyville, with the 4:35 to go off about 70 minutes late

They got the 4:35 in and did manage a 3rd. Rest of the meeting abandoned, which brings the total to 4 abandonments in the past week
