Just had a look at the Turffontein opener and spotted a 2's on shot. Really have to oppose at that price and gone with 3 instead -

10.40 Turffontein -

GLOBAL ICON ( Stable 2nd string at the prices, though the booking of Muzi Yeni suggests otherwise. Definitely an interesting newcomer, who has bagged the plum draw and happy chancing the 66's )
TIGER JET ( Another newcomer, who looks nicely bred and represents decent connections. JP Van De Merwe has only had 11 rides for the stable in the last couple of years, but has 3 wins and 4 places. Most realstic of these at 25's )
ELEGANT BEAUTY ( Had 3 runs to date and had excuses in comeback run, will strip fitter today, capable of further improvement and simply could not ignore the early 66's )

Love the Breeder's Cup. Will be watching Chelsea v Everton with a few beers just to wet the whistle and settle down for the American racing.

MOUNT KEITH ( Gelded since last run and blinkers left off, as he did not look to appreciate them )
BEAU ( Much better effort when equipped with blinkers last time, lightly raced & could continue to progress. Really cannot grasp the 66's on offer )

3.50 Turffontein - ANGEL'S POWER - Disappointed in latest after good prior form, unbeaten only run this c & d and remains on a fair mark. Was expecting 12's, so a must bet for me at 25's.

4.25 Turffontein - 3 at EW prices + combination FC/TC with these -

TRADING PROFIT ( 3rd run back, fair effort last time when not clear run and should be staying on nicely. Shade big maybe at 14's )
MASTER'S SPIRIT ( Down to a nice looking rating of 84 and well worth a crack at the mile. 20's will look very big if he stays )
DAKIWE ( Very consisten latelyt and h'capper could have been more penal , unbeaten both goes this c & d and really should be on the premises )
